Morning! This map was a commission by someone seeking a map themed similarly to The Magicians, a television show whose existence I was previously unaware of. A modern urban fantasy-style magical classroom - though, the magic in some of the variants is so subtle, I'd imagine it could pass as a normal one too.

There's actually way more individual versions than the splash image shows. There's different colors, intensities for the spell-circle storms, and medieval/modern versions for just about all of them - substituting the laptops and televisions for more books and scrolls, for those more fantasy-minded. Check out the zip archives.

  • The Supporter-tier variants include Wizarding Classroom 103 during the day, night, a late-night work session undertaken by the professor, a magical storm sweeping the room, and a chamber where some knucklehead has knocked over most of the furniture.
  • The Enthusiast-tier variants include a demon-summoning or other magical ritual gone wrong with three colors of spell-circle and two different storm intensities, an empty attic room containing nothing, the same empty room but with the spell-circle and/or storm, and the room arranged in preparation for a magical duel between PCs or NPCs alike.

The map is 20 tiles tall and 16 tiles wide, and all versions are 100 pixels wide and tall per square as usual. I've attached two free versions to this post - one contains the modern-day tech and the other is a less contemporary classroom! If you like my work, I'd appreciate it if you'd subscribe!

Next week will not have a map due to birthday shenanigans, unless I find myself with free time and post more geomorphs or something. Noone will be charged, either way! Normal map-making schedule will resume on the week starting on the 16th. Hope you all have a good week!

Edit: I seem to have forgotten to make a medieval edit of the stuff-knocked-over map. Whoops! I attached an archive containing those (plus slightly tweaked versions of the original version too) to the Supporter post.
