Someone suggested to me a few days ago, "I'd like to see an airship map!"

Well, you're getting an airship map! It's also a fantasy map, in a JRPG sort of sense, and possibly set to the tune of Whoever Brings The Night. Whether your players are hitching a ride, crashing the party, defending the craft or sneaking aboard, this top-of-the-line cruiser has your back.

  • The Supporter tier, in addition to all three decks of the normal craft, get six night-time versions showing off the glowing underbelly of the leviathan.
  • The Enthusiast tier gets perhaps the single most JRPG-y map I've ever made, a gigantic airship tearing across ocean waves like something out of John Berkey's paintings. Also included is a clean cloud map, in case you wanted to host combat in the open skies, perhaps use some of Two-Minute Tabletop's build-your-own airship materials!
  • The Dutchmen may be pleased to hear that I completely revamped how I export my token files, meaning that they look far better than ever before for inserting as tokens in VTT platforms directly. I gave them a drop shadow! And a material texture to match the maps!

Also, I tried using Roll20 the other day and learned that you can't actually upload most of my maps directly because the file size is too big - apparently, free Roll20 users are limited to 5mb uploads. I will now be including JPG versions of my maps in all future uploads! I don't know if this caused anyone issues, but it won't now!

This map comes in at 25 tiles wide and 30 tiles tall, at my normal resolution of 100 pixels per square. If you're new and happen to enjoy my work here, I'd greatly appreciate it if you became a patron! You can get a free copy of the lower deck attached to the image section above, in the meantime! And whether you're new or not, I hope you enjoy this unwieldly mess I call a map!

AND ONE MORE THING: There's a small bonus map that I was commissioned to draw this week! It comes with everything seen in the splash image, plus the raw map files, line-art, and a handful of free tokens. The archive is attached to this post, and is free for everyone - including non-patrons!

AND ONE MORE ONE MORE THING: Thanks to everyone who responded to the poll I put up a few days ago. It's good to know what everyone's looking for, and the feedback's really useful to me. I'm thinking that since around 60% of the responses were for fantasy, in the future, I'll be doing at least 2 fantasy maps of various sorts each month out of the given 4, and the remaining two will serve as wildcards. I hope that sounds good!

For Roll20 paid user have a limit of 10mb for the file size limit :) But yeah if you can keep the quality and export it in a more compact format it would be perfect for online player !

JPGs are fine for maps, there's also some good file compressor programs out there if you want to keep things a bit higher quality. When I was archiving my map collection I managed to reduce the size from 25GB to 3GB using a batch compressor to condense the whole thing. Quality was still great too. If you're interested in the program I'll drop a link. It's free. https://sourceforge.net/projects/icompress/
