Frankly, "the burrows" is a bit of a misnomer for this collection - none of them are particularly burrow-y and you might in fact be wise to point out that most of them appear to be mineshafts. But I had named the folder "The Burrows" when I first set up the folder structure, so I guess I'm stuck with that.

Good morning, you might notice that there's a really stupid image instead of my normal splash today, and that's because this map is a bunch of smaller maps based around a common theme - underground mineshafts! Each map is relatively smaller than my usual stuff, but every single variant is an entirely different map, so it should make up for that! It also should be much more convenient for your prospective GMing needs.

  • The Supporter tier maps are the River Crossing, the Final Quarters, the Split Chamber, and the Twisting Halls. These are respectively the most gorgeous water-based map I've ever drawn, a "final" brick quarters most likely inhabited by a low-level boss, a chamber which is roughly split between two elevation levels, and a grouping of mineshafts. There's also no-furniture variants for some of these, and a bridge-less version of the river crossing.
  • The Enthusiast tier maps are the Dry Riverbed, the Guardpost, and the Private Quarters. Respectively, these are a water-less version of the river crossing (with and without bridge), a set of two small dungeon chambers, and a series of private quarters which may or may not be currently occupied. There's also more no-furniture variants, and the line-art.

I'd like to apologize in advance for having swapped styles half-way through this project! I noted that the feedback from my public poll was heavily weighted towards the fracture-lines sort of stone, but by then it was a little too late to re-draw two thirds of the maps. I'll absolutely keep it in mind in the future and very much plan on drawing more stuff like the river-crossing in the future, because I absolutely love the way the water turned out. The checkerboards too - I love the checkerboard. The only problem is that it means I can't technically make gridded versions of the line-art maps, because there's ... no line-art for the grids.

I can't really supply grid sizes for all of the maps, because there's six of them and it'd get confusing, so instead, here's a trick: take the resolution of my maps and divide them by 100. Or just chop the zeroes off, it's the same thing. The river-crossing is 900 by 1700 pixels, for instance, which means it must be 9x17 tiles big. This trick doesn't work as well with the free maps, though, since they're 50x50 pixels per square.

Anyways, for the free users, there's two maps I'm releasing today! There's a free version of the river-crossing available in the header, plus a zip archive attached containing both a free version of the Final Quarters as well as a couple of my older maps that I don't think recieved much attention. I hope you enjoy them.

I really like the idea of having multiple smaller maps, it helps a lot with setting up encounters in VTT
