There's this beautiful and incredibly emotional scene from Avatar: The Last Airbender. I'm sure those of you who have watched it already know what I mean from the title alone. Those of you who don't, I highly recommend you watch the series, but you could get the picture (literally) by running a search for "In honor of Mako" in your favorite search engine.

This map won't feature any trees, unfortunately, but it's directly inspired by that picture. It's been on my mind for a while, and I think it fits perfectly with the topic for this map. The attached picture is of the variant, the intact church, which I've finished first as it's easier to destroy a building when you know what it looked like to begin with. Rest assured, there will be an equally stunning sunset version of the ruined structure available as well - a perfect place to destroy your player's hearts in some crushing, sweeping revelation, or perhaps to stage a dramatic but tragic final fight. Churches coated with stained glass in the sunset are perfect for those sort of emotional scenes. I should know, because I obliterated a player's* heart once in one, and I intend to make a map based off of the ruins I did that in eventually, too.

*Don't worry, he eventually forgave me!
