I think it originally aired as a 2-parter for those of us old people who watched it live on NBC. Either way, it's semantics. We are all happy. And yes, when a certain someone throws a certain something at a certain piece of technology is my favorite moment in TV. I died the first time I saw that.

This take makes so little sense that I shouldn’t even need to respond, but I’ve got time, I will anyways. The original episode is a great finale, and a huge part of that is no scene or storyline overstays its welcome. This could be said for much of The Office in general. The editing is tight, the jokes land, and they know when to get out and move on, some of the staples of good comedy. Also, the Superfan episodes are not the “George Lucas’ true vision Special Editions” of the show some in here have been suggesting. They’re just a marketing gimmick from Peacock more than anything else, seem haphazardly thrown together, and don’t even include a lot of the deleted scenes most of us had already seen on the DVDs back in the day. Yes there is funny deleted material, but I still maintain it’s best seen on its own without ruining the editing of the episodes. And I’ve loved The Office since I’ve watched it live, and seen it many, many times since. Not that that’s really relevant to this argument.
