This is actually a great group of people for this show. People were being annoying before about it but I am delighted

I think the lack of representation is a commentary in itself. This whole show is a deconstruction and satire of the superhero genre, and it seems fitting to have pretty limited representation when deconstructing a genre which has historically been pretty awful in that regard.

One of the few examples where the show is far, far superior to the comic. Garth Ennis is great when he reigns himself in and writes something he really wants to - but his pure hatred for the superhero genre resulted in the comic just being way, WAAAAAAY too over the top and excessive just for the sake of it. The show is so much more refined and focused.

Not only is it a satire of the superhero genre but it's really a satire of corporate America. Them including token movements within the corporation to satisfy a group just for financial gain is pretty spot on. Corporations are all about satisfying demographics without really understanding why morally they should do such a thing.

My guess is that all of the supes, or at least the Seven have boosted physical strength at the minimum, and then their more unique abilities.

the flaw i have with this show is that the antagonists are FAR more interesting and engaging then the protagonists. i really could care less about the boys. just give me the seven and the politics and starlight with some other supers trying to take them down from the inside! that tension of working with the seven every day and living in that super hero world with you being able to be caught at any second.........SO GOOD. plus more supers and their lifestyle like the club! oh well, only in my dreams

nah brie, read mystique's comics or x-men. she is a martial artist, skilled in multiple weapons, enhanced strength, can make her body into various weapons (hammers, swords, etc) so nah not just PURE espionage
