This is kind of the first "holy shit" episode when it comes to the 2 main set-piece battles. The Titan and Thunder were both such over the top Dark Souls bosses, just swatting away soldiers. Loved it. The animation quality is really nice in the big fights of this show.

Yeah, this is the episode where the show goes from being "decent" to "definitely worth watching" and it keeps getting better imo, especially S3.

Yes, the story happened just like Viren told it. And yes, Viren has good intentions. He's not the person to save his own skin; he has a different kind of idea of the world "sacrifice". His is more like the literal "sacrifice whatever it takes for the good of all humanity". I guess you can say that he only sees the big picture.

you didn't need to say this. this is a spoiler.

I think the story is true, cause as much as Viren sucks I really do think he's doing what he thinks is best for the human kingdoms and not for himself, basically he seems like a "ends justify the means" type of character.

Did you notice how Harrow started to talk to Callum about his mother's death? He said: "I want to talk with you about life and how sometimes there are changes you don't expect. ..." If you go back and see how Callum tried to talk to Ezran about Harrow's death, he (I'd say unconsciously) starts with the same two sentences. It is such a poetic way to make these characters come alive. Callum was around Ezran's age when his mother died and now that their father passed away, Callum is on the other side of the talk.

You gotta remember that Viren must have been a pretty great guy to even get his position in the first place. His loyalty is to the kingdom first and foremost and I completely understand his stance on making sure you can take care of your own before worrying about foreign kingdoms. Imagine: A nation that can barely scrape by has a king that just starts donating what little his kingdom has, including what it needs to survive. That's not a sign of a good king, imo. A good diplomat, sure... but that's a king that's going to get killed by his own starving subjects if they find out what happened to their food.

You guys are thinking Harrow is all good and Viren is all bad, but they are more like Yin Yang, keeping each other in check. Together they had perfect balanced and were good rulers. Harrow without Viren would have left 50,000 people in his kingdom die; Viren withour Harrow... well just look at what he's doing now.
