how is katsuyu disgusting, they literally in the least gross way she looks like a toy. Also katsuyu isn't necessarily weak she's just not an offensive fighter she's about healing and evading.

I hope you guys can finally realize that Tsunade is not weak, but lets give Orochimaru his credit he was fighting 2 v 1 with no arms. And Tsunade is 50 same age as Jiraiya and Orochimaru.

Very good episode. Personally my favorite Tsunade moment in the series is this episode. And I would call this an Arc, like the Land Of Waves, while the Chunnin Exams was a Saga.

Well he wasnt and got the business end instead. No offence but the only reason he survives this fight is plot armor. No one in naruto survives taking so many hits from monster strength tsunade. Especially in his weakened state. He only survives to further the plot.

I loved your reaction to this episode!!!! It was even better than I hoped!!! Wasn’t it so satisfying to see Tsunade pummel Orochimaru like that? I felt every punch she threw. I’m glad she didn’t start off as invincible but went through this whole emotional arc where she had to overcome her fear of blood and find her resolve again before showing off some of her true abilities - it adds depth to her character and makes it feel more realistic. She’s a total badass! Who else can lift up Gamabunta’s bigass sword and pierce Manda to the ground like that? 💪💅 Lol I found it so amusing how grossed out Rana was by Katsuyu and how it made you all recall Grade 12 Biology 😂 I think she’s cute and her abilities are cool! I’m way more grossed out by Orochimaru’s slimy mile long tongue and snake tongue sword bullshit. But Nahid’s right, Gamatatsu is best toad!! ❤️ He’s that special brother that just wants to eat some snacks and have fun. His voice is 👌

It was funny how savage Naruto was re: Tsunade lmao. The fact he called her out on living a lie was surprisingly insightful and perceptive. I love these bratty and childish moments of his that balance out his ferocity and tenacity when fighting. And I thought that ending was beautiful too! It came full circle, and the fact that a dream can be immortalized through different people who believe in it is really touching. It was lovely closure for Tsunade. I’m loving your ending discussions too! I love when you guys speculate or want to know more about certain things. Your questions about the village’s awareness of Tsunade and her potential inauguration are very relevant because, as you know, that will be answered in the next few eps. I’m glad you didn’t skip any of 98-100. I can’t wait to watch the next one! And the new remix outro song you chose for the shoutouts is so good!!!!!! Now is probably the time to bring this up. Naruto's Creator Masahi Kishimoto, tends to base his work and a good chunk of Naruto. On the History, Folklore and Overall Religion of Japan's and eastern Cultures. These characters (the 3 sanin) are based on an actual tale, known as Jiraya the Galant and have been adapted pretty well to this anime. In Japan the even have this rock paper scissors type of game, which is why this episode is titled the three way deadlock. Slug beats Snake, Snake beats Toad, and Toad beats Slug. As the series continue more will appear and there have been some before. Like Itachi's move Tsukyomi is actually named after a Shinto God. And the Hyuga clan's Ideals could be based on the Hindu Caste and Darma system

Tsunade has to be the most undeserving Hokage out of all of them lol. The only reason she became Hokage is because of her relation to the First, literal nepotism. Not only is she the weakest Sannin, she's weaker than many of the current Jonin. Itachi would even body her.

Why a slug summons? Well, lots of other people have commented on the rock paper scissors aspect of the sannin trio...and some have defended Katsuya referencing her usefulness. But on top of that, IIRC slugs have associations with medicine and healing. Slug slime has been used for centuries in that field...so Tsunade's summon is an appropriately medical type. :)

@Rabnod Mass MAJOR SPOILERS FOR THE ENTIRE SERIES. Kakashi became Hokage because Kishi wanted Naruto to be the 7th. 7 is an important number in Japan for various reasons. I disagree with @Aadit Doshi that he was weaker than Tsunade, and the others were literally all God teir Shinobi. There's nothing to be ashamed of being considered weaker then them. But remember Kakashi in the end has the Perfect MS, and basically all the powers Tobi had. And let's be real the 5th Hokage should have been Itachi. If all that stuff didn't happen, there was no one more qualified in terms of strength comparable to the previous 4. And Tsunade rarely got a chance to shine because the series is called Naruto. 90% of the series was Naruto and Sasuke. Basically everyone else was secondary.
