Just a warning It's definitely slower paced than BB. More character focused. It's a good Drama tho.

Ginzo

Meh. Better Call Saul is good but it's not really a good reaction type show. This is especially true for the first season. Expect lower viewership than Breaking Bad.

Anonymous

Actually this show is not slow. It has a pace that's supposed to be normal, and every other shows are just too fast. Those people saying it's slow just don't know how a well written story works.

Anonymous

people said the same thing about BB (that it's not good for reactions) then suddenly every reaction channel started to watch the show. A reaction is not just about the shock and hype moments. BCS is good for reactions especially for those who have seen BB since it's full of BB references, and it's full of complex and extremly well written characters, which is worth reacting to and analyzing.

Ryan

If you come into this show expecting Breaking Bad you will be disappointed. It never has the stakes or intensity of BrBa. It’s a very well made show but it’s a very slow paced character study.

autumn

No Hannah???? :( oh well you're in for an incredible experience

Anonymous

People who say this is slow need to rewatch breaking bad. That was slow at times. I actually prefer this show as whole though breaking bad has of course huge stand out moments that are really reaction worthy. This is still great!

Jarrod Wild

The pace of BCS may be slower relative to BB, but pace alone isn't a good or bad thing. The story is what matters, and BCS has several great stories to tell. It's also a neo-noir, which is naturally going to have a different pace than BB which is a modern western. As a lover of neo-noir, I have found I like BCS a bit more than BB. Don't get me wrong though, I'll still re-binge my BB blurays on a whim.

Light Yagami

Awe where is Hannah at

icymathratios

Noooooo Hannah come back 😭

Kyle

Hannah :(

The show is slow but in a very good way, not in a negative way. The writing is just so damn good that it doesn't matter because that is the point. People who dislike it for that just don't have a strong attention span, they don't appreciate the small things that makes it so good. It is captivating just like Breaking Bad, BCS is based around character development. Just like Breaking Bad, it only gets better and the further the seasons go the more it begins to take on many traits of BrBa, it only gets darker from here. It's just an amazing prequel, perhaps the best ever done. So criminally underrated.

Raul Martinez

No Hannah No Money. Peace.

geoff woyce

Too bad Hannah can't join them, she would have picked up every single BB easter-egg throughout the whole series. We do get Normie All-Star Rana so I'm happy!

Anonymous

Disappointed that Hannah couldn't appear in this, but life gets in the way. One critique to the second guy, try not to speak over every scene. Especially coming off the BrBa reaction, no one wants that it like that. I think I speak for most of us, it makes for a better watch.

No Hannah is no bueno

Tobi

I kinda slightly prefer BCS to BB

MrSkarred

I'm inclined to agree with the sentiment of the other comments, I really liked watching Hannah's reactions to breaking bad.

Adam Vialpando

As much as I loved Breaking Bad I like better Call Saul even more. Plus the camera work in this show is top notch.

melo

damn I need Hannah for these reactions :( especially because of how well written this show is i know she’d catch a lot of the subtleties

Andrew

Is it just me or do videos take much longer to load on Vimeo than Youtube?

Kepler

Subbed just for early BB. Was gonna keep that continued for BCS but not without Hannah. Last month of patreon :I

MICHAEL THOMPKINS

This show is heavy on the character development. It could be considered slow if you're not into that.

Am very glad you guys are watching this show too. I am sad Hannah is not there to watch with y’all; she often picks up on things you guys miss, but all to say that information would add to your viewing experience. No offense intended. Similarly, let’s all stop sniping at each other about which show is better, this or Breaking Bad. Which one is “slow,” which one is blah blah blah. At this pace, Better Call Saul has THE EXACT same number of gaudy nominations from all critics associations as Breaking Bad did through it’s season four run. The only distinction - Breaking Bad was on with FEWER competitive shows, so the acting awards were all up for grabs for Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul. Please believe me when I tell you, Better Call Saul is AMAZING, on a different level. Instead of looking forward to badass catharsis through a character climbing up the ladder in the drug game, you have a very distinct story about a shady man with a good heart, conflicted at virtually every turn to either do the right thing, the legal thing or the self-rewarding thing. (Again, sometimes all the same, often times though mutually-exclusive) To Nahid - careful my guy. I give Vince Gilligan all the credit in the world for creating this universe, but, Better Call Saul is more the creative baby of fellow exec. producers Pete Gould and Thomas Schnauz. On that point, so many things have crossed over. Dave Porter, the music director from Breaking Bad, works on the show. (Please, PLEASE, one of you look up and react to how he created the sounds of Breaking Bad… truly awe-inspiring stuff) In terms of the cinematography, Gilligan, Gould and others would have input, but that distinctive look that Breaking Bad had was most heavily impacted by the show’s principal photographer Michael Slovis. He doesn’t work on Better Call Saul, but through the same staff and crew used in New Mexico for Breaking Bad, his work is carried on, with a few new cool tricks in ‘Saul’ by its show photogs, Marshall Adams and Arthur Albert. Lastly, I’m not trying to say anything pompous like “open your minds,” or embrace change to enjoy a different type of show. Again, that just serves to turn people against one another on two similarly AWESOME shows from the same creative team. My one piece of advice is this though: don’t keep looking for Breaking Bad tie-ins. If you constantly look for prequel goodies and easter eggs, you’ll never enjoy the thoroughly original, incredible story and characters this new show offers. Again, hope you guys enjoy.

Ryan B

Better Call Saul is every bit as good as Breaking Bad. Anybody who says it is slow is just projecting. I imagine Pat being a part of these reactions is going to get very annoying when he realizes there aren't murders and explosions in every episode. Also, bring back Hannah.

MOB12

I'm sorry I like yall but Hannah was the bread and butter of Breaking Bad reactions. Not having her here is just weird

Jarrod Wild

I'm sad that Hannah isn't watching these. Her insight and comments about BB were very interesting.

Alex

Nah, I honestly agree that BCS is a weaker show than Breaking Bad was in its prime--at first. Although I do think it starts off more solid than BB did.

Eric M

Guys, sorry but I have to agree with everyone else. It just feels weird without Hannah. Like, really weird. It'd be like if Nikki dropped out of the Lost reactions. BB and BCS are just too similar. I know scheduling is a pain, but to be honest I'd rather you guys take some time and get her back than getting episodes without her. :/

Kelly Parks

Better Call Saul is a prequel. *But* the black and white segment(s) are after Breaking Bad so in a sense it's both a prequel and a continuation.

Kelly Parks

Did you catch what Jimmy's brother Chuck's "condition" was?

xeitroen

Yeah not happy with the reshuffle of reactors at all. Don't think I'll be doing BCS with you guys. Thanks for all the BB reactions.

Anonymous

Sad Hannah not here but after watching this reaction you 4 guys are great!

Anonymous

I'm on the fence as to whether Better Call Saul is a good reaction show, and based on Nikki and Steve reacting to it and seemingly loving it, I think it comes down to 'who is doing the reacting?' If the reactors are the kinds of people who tuned in to Breaking Bad for the deep character development, the beautiful camera work, and the extremely clever plotting, then Better Call Saul is right up their alley. If they tuned in primarily for Walt being a badass and high adrenaline shoot-outs and so-forth, BCS will probably disappoint...at least in the first few seasons. It gets more BB-like as it goes.

Danny Jasper

Hate to ask, but are you guys (including BB Hannah) going to react to El Camino: A Breaking Bad movie? Get's released in a few weeks, about Mr Pinkman. I can't fucking wait for it, BITCH!

Anonymous

I'm so happy that you're reacting to BCS but I really don't think Pat is going to enjoy it as it is more of a slow burn

zarrackana

lol pat is the only one picking everything up

Kasun

Oh man I loved Hannah hope she comes later

Diiirk706

these are COMPLETE SHIT without Hannah....

Tom Fehr

BRING BACK HANNAH THE PEOPLE DEMAND IT

Rime Pendragon

Lose Pat, bring back Hannah.

Tim Xi

I wish Hannah was reacting to this. I understand you want to get out these reactions back to back, but I would’ve preferred you guys wait until all of the OG crew was here (Hannah, Rana, Nahid). And now you’re telling me spoiler-and-sleep-man Chris might join more than Hannah? Hopefully he doesn’t try to explain everything to you guys when anything big happens.

Hunter Lee

exactly. just based off what people are saying here i'll probably wait till they start getting to the really good episodes because I just can't stand it when people just throw out the word "slow" like its a bad thing. idk

Fred Carmichael

I wish Suraj was there for this one

Anonymous

I am sad Hannah did not continue with Rana and Nahid for Better Call Saul. It would have been great to have her there for BCS. I was excited to see them all react together to all of the tie-ins and connections between both shows, considering they had just seen BB! Does anyone know why they removed Hannah?
