Naruto practices the summoning jutsu with Jiraiya after Ebisu just effs off. Meanwhile Dosu stupidly makes a move against Gaara! Then they killed Hayate! Holy shit man I mean he had a little cough but the guy was cool!

I know a lot of people hate on the intro, but it 's actually my personal favourite. Don't know, it just is. The only one that comes close is hero's Comeback.

Man, I still don't get Nahid's hate for the third opening of MHA. I definitely like the song more than the first opening, and in terms of visuals, it's my favorite of the first three.

Kage means shadow. Hokage means "fire shadow" because they are from the land of fire. Kazekage means "wind shadow" because they are for the land of wind.

Even more fun fact, the fun fact that Chris gave about the sword on the back is not entirely true and people have worn them on the back. You have to design the scabbard and the sword right for that kind of thing. It's less common, however. But it is mostly worn that way for carrying it around, not for being battle ready.

Im low key using this as a market substitute. I have only really watched every fight seen in Naruto but no plot. I know every important character and important backstory but that’s about it. I could never get to watching thousand of naruto episodes by myself so ima go on this journey with the normies 👊.

between jiraiya and orochimaru it's almost like creeping on little boys is mandatory for being a saanin. luckily the 3rd saanin is a much better person than both of them. also yeah this op sucks but shippuden op 3 is actually one of my favorites in anime

I have no doubt that’s the case because all the animes you’re watching currently are within the shounen genre and they all follow the same tropes and character matrices and developmental arcs. In fact, this traditional storytelling is systematically reinforced by large manga publishing companies. There are stringent editors that control how a manga artist’s story progresses so that it falls in line with the genre’s rules. With Kishimoto for example, he had no plans of doing a tournament arc (the Chuunin Exams) after the Land of Waves/Zabuza arc but his editors pushed him to do it because tournament arcs are, as you know, a staple of shounen anime and would invite more readership/profit. So Kishimoto had to rework his prior plans and come up with the Chuunin Exams arc. This is something he was forced to deal with throughout the duration of Naruto. So I’m sure you’ll continue to see parallels among shounen animes in the future. Other genres have their own rules too. It’s rather unfortunate in my opinion - It’s funny how early and accurately you called Dosu’s death even though technically sound should be faster than sand lol. I guess bloodlust goes a long way - I’m glad you found the pacing of this ep a little better. I enjoyed this one too because of the heightened tension and conspiracy. I mentioned this before, but it’ll really start to pick after ep 80. Hang in there. I can’t wait! - Lmaooo good-guy-eavesdroppers and whistleblowers-to-be cannot multitask. It’s too much to expect them to run and internal monologue about the villains they saw at the same time Nahid: - All your headbands look awesome! You look like a real ninja with the jacket on too - LOL why do you say the third intro of animes always suck? I find that so fascinating. Is that really a pattern you’ve noticed in all the anime you’ve seen? I have to pay more attention from now on. It could very well be true. I thought this intro was okay. I definitely had the same underwhelmed reaction when I first heard it. It’s very hard to follow the rock intensity of Haruka Kanata with a more melodic song and be as impressed, but it might grow on you with time as most songs do. Even if it doesn’t for you, that’s totally fine. No matter what, your opinions are valid. Just as some others are quick to judge you, you are free to judge the song three seconds or 10 seconds or one minute in or whatever. Psychologically it only takes thee to five seconds for a person to form a first impression, and so that was just yours. Nothing wrong with that at all! I’m just happy you’re all reacting to the opening and ending songs at all. I enjoy seeing it. And as you know Naruto is a series that changes up the songs often and there will be a lot more coming later! I wonder, do you have another counting rule for when openings are always good? - I love that you took the time to search up Dosu’s name haha. He did not die a nameless death thanks to you. Suraj: - I forget how FMA’s later opening songs compare with the first and the best but I’m pretty confident you’ll find Naruto openings down the road that surpass what you’ve heard so far! - You get a shadow clone, you get a shadow clone, you get a shadow clone! Naruto’s the Oprah of shadow clones - When Naruto was writing his name in blood, that last symbol was “to” from Na-ru-to. Even though the English dub read it as Naruto Uzumaki, and always introduces people by first name-surname, Japanese people always introduce themselves and write their names in the order of surname-first name. The way Naruto wrote ‘Na-ru-to’ in Japanese in this instance (since there are two different ways to write it) was なると. It’s actually really cute because for the と he extended the tail to curve inwards to make a swirly pattern, and that’s because he’s named after a ramen topping. “Naruto” is a type of sliced white fishcake with a pink/red swirly pattern at its centre that’s popularly eaten with ramen. That’s why it’s adorable Naruto loves ramen and a lot of his clothing/belongings have a swirly pattern on it. Here, even his signature has it - Nahid was right. The Kazekage is the Village Hidden by Sand’s leader, one of the Hokage’s counterparts, which resides in the Land of Wind. The Village Hidden by Sand is where Gaara, Temari, and Kankuro are from Chris: - Lolol the deadpan way you said “now add his blood to the collection, boy” Yes this is all normal, collecting blood like you collect marbles - Yeah anyone who internally monologues in the midst of danger are destined to die, there’s no escaping that self-trap - It’s interesting that you noted a sword on your back is the worst place to keep it. I agree about its impracticality. I love that you pick up on these details - All ANBU Black Ops wear those animalistic masks. I like the cat ones too - Wow that’s interesting. I had no idea crime rose during full moons, but I think you’re right it’s because of the extra light Rana: - Naruto, Sasuke~~~~ Lol - Wind chimes? Hahaha calling Suraj out like that - *Gasp* Tired guy! That was so funny. Hayate does look perpetually tired and sick - Ughhhh I know right? Girls don’t frolic in the water or splash each other while giggling lmao. I don’t know what fantasy this materialized from - Haha I think Naruto was tired for his standards. He has incredible stamina because of the nine-tail’s chakra, so even if he were to exhaust his own chakra he’d be able to summon a burst of energy if he really wanted. That’s probably why he bounced back up so readily after his own battle royale - I love how you always sympathize with characters who are taken advantage of, killed, or going through hardships. I actually love that Naruto isn’t someone who always succeeds at first try. He struggles endlessly but keeps persevering. It doesn’t mean he’s failed, it’s a work in progress. It makes him relatable
