I'll never understand why Xander gets so much more hate than Willow at this point in the season. Yeah, he screwed up. Season 6 is the 'season of bad decisions', but he didn't mind rape anyone screw up. Perspective, people.

#SundayRundown I think that Buffy and Willow feel, with their regrettable decisions they've made this season, that they aren't in a position to shame Xander. So they aren't holding him as accountable as they probably would be if they were in a better place. But also, I know it's probably genuinely difficult for the couch to remember this, (as an avid re-watcher it's more noticeable) but Xander has dropped lots of hints about his traumatic home life throughout high-school. In Restless (s4 finale) we saw his dad yelling at him and ripping his heart out. So for me, I don't think we should constantly shame a 21 year old for getting cold feet. Especially when in the early 2000s, young men weren't really taught to discuss their feelings or insecurities. Repressing his fears of the wedding just for all of those fears to be displayed to him as the future, makes sense it would shake him up.
