Weekly progress report #27 (Patreon)

Hello. Time for another progress report.

I'm very sad to notify you, that apparently Shattered is now popular enough for people to steal the test version and upload it to the internet. No only that devalues your patron status, but that also ensures that a lot of people play the bugged update I intended for testing purposes only. Starting with v0.9 I will start putting a giant «TEST ONLY» line on the main screen. That's pretty much the only idea I can come up with. It's not about my personal greed, I just keep polishing the game right until the public release, and make small fixes even when I'm writing the walkthrough. Some people have no shame.

But anyway. This week I was able to finally finish the v0.8 update, and I'm very happy. Though it took way more time than I expected, there's been a lot of factors keeping me back, and overall it came out very different from my initial design. Oh, well. Hopefully v0.9 won't have as many setbacks.

I also finished making the new walkthrough, which you can download in my Mega folder.

I also forgot to mention earlier this week that since our «Future fun» poll ended with a three-way tie, I had to use the random choice generator to determine our winner. And it's Bree. Her botany lessons will join Iris's makeup sessions for future Blake's hobbies. Now, of course, I'll have to make these more practical, but there's gonna be some weed consumption for sure. Also, Werthers's not-exactly-poll gave me an impression that while most people don't mind, the number of patrons who do not want to see him ever is big enough for me to abandon the idea of his introduction. The game has enough completely optional characters already.
