July Mod Updates and Patch Status (Patreon)

Hi All,

Patch Status
Finally done! This took so much longer than I thought it would. The patch required several, small, annoying changes over the majority of my mods. This required more tedious updates than I had anticipated. I always forget how many mods and the varying types of mods I have until I have to update them... In addition, my son got sick with the flu on Saturday and promptly got me sick that next day and I was only just able to drag myself back out of bed long enough to try to finish these.

Any mods not updated below should be compatible with the current patch but if you have issues, report them on Discord. I won't be responding as quickly but I will hopefully be back up to full strength by the end of the week.

The Shared Tuning needed to be updated so please, please do not fail to update. The Mood Pack also got an update today. Make sure to update it!!!

Additionally, I wanted to make sure that if you were going to be updating many of your mods anyways that I took the time to also update the mods where it was needed for the DX11 upgrade. This has been done for the mods for which it was necessary. Any mods updated for the patch or tweaks include this without it being mentioned.

A zip of all the updates is temporarily attached at the bottom of this post.

Reminder

If you downloaded any of my mods, even if they have the same version number, if you did not download them after this post was been posted, you WILL need to update them, again. If in doubt, redownload and clear your cache. 

By the way, if you are ever unsure about the status of my mods after patches, you can find out on Discord or on Twitter. I only post here on Patreon status updates for patches/the month after I have checked all of my mods and either cleared them for compatibility or updated them for patch changes.

Think the Lovestruck Janitor's Closet should be more than a Woohoo location? Need a janitor in your build? Then install the Functional Custodial Closet. When you place a janitor's closet in a community building, you are then able to click on the closet and hire an actual janitor. They will tidy up around the area and repair any broken objects. They are available on most community lots.

 Background Stories v1.2 (Public Release)

So, this mod is not for you if you're one of those wonderful Simmers who plans every Sims life down to the last detail in your save. Or a rotational player. This is probably not for you, either. This is for the rest of us.

I am one of those, when I get the chance to play, Simmers who is meticulous about my active Sim households every detail and the detail of those Sims in their extended family that I have in the save. That is it. All those other Sims I don't care about at all. I hate that I have to manually give them jobs or skills or likes or friends. So this is for those of you like me who don't want that. Who want your background sims to just have a background.

What this mod does (tldr): 

This mod REQUIRES the Shared Library. This mod automatically adds background for your background Sims when they are instanced (i.e. whenever they spawn in the world). You can choose only one version - either it applies to only Sims who have never been played with or it applies to any Sims you're not currently playing (any NPCs). These details are randomized but do take into account the Sim's traits.

What it adds in terms of background are:

• careers for those npcs who do not have them

• skills based on a sim's career

• additional skills unrelated to their career

• character values for toddlers, children, and teens

• preferences for characteristics, color, music, activities, decor, and fashion for Sims who don't have one

• randomized additional household funds

• for some sims, it will also add friends and after school activities
