This is something I've been thinking about for a while now. I believe time off is important to prevent burnout, but the fact of the matter is in a "standard" job, you still get paid during that time! With this job, I do not. So, my question is this:

Should I pause my Patreon during the time I take off?

As a note: I still work on things, I still post things, it's not like I entirely disconnect from the internet during that "time off". I'm also going to be mirroring this Patreon on Gumroad starting next month, and Gumroad does not allow you to pause monthly, so that might be an issue...So basically I've been wondering if it's better to just inform everyone when I'm going to take some time to myself ahead of time, and let folks decide if they want to stop for that time period or not!

I'll leave it up to you folks! It would make it a lot less stressful if I still had that income on those months off, but I understand if folks don't want to support when I'm not doing everything I can...But you all know me! You know I do my best no matter what. I'll always try to do my best for you all! ♥ If I'm not able to do a lot of new stuff, I can always dig back in my archives for things to post that no one's really seen! So there's options to keep things going.

I don't know, I'll leave it to all of you! Feel free to comment or ask questions below!

I'd say at the end of the day it's important to do what's best for you. it can be hard to strike a balance between work and relaxation. it's absolutely essential to take time to yourself to avoid burnout

Lynxan .

Perhaps you might want to try taking a week off a month or something more along the line of that.
