Sorry for the late update!  Been a heck of a week/weekend.

Aaaand more explanation of how things work in the MouseCakes setting, in a way that I hope makes sense. I've had this in mind for years now, jsut never exactly try to put it to words. There will be a bit more clarification on this next week, and then this arc is almost over!

I've tried to come up with a way to incorporate all the different types of scenarios I've seen that people are fond of, so there's perma, temp, and really vague "It's up to the viewer" settings included in this.  Basically, I see it as:

1) either you have your own way of fixing things/a backup plan, either as the pred or the prey, in which case this doesn't apply to you,

2) the pred is hungry, sure, but doesn't want or even try to keep their prey, so if they show up again or not, that's on them! Kind of a carefree and more "food is food" mindset, but there you go,

3) The pred intends to keep their prey for good, and it's all dependent on who's more insistent on it. It could be very easy for the pred, or they could have a heck of a time trying to gurgle someone down into nothing but fat; this is all open-ended depending on the scenario.

I'm not saying this covers everything, but for my purposes, I think this works best. Fomo himself, as pred, is firmly in Category 2, with a lil bit of Category 3 depending on who he's going after.  He's used to seeing people pop back up again, which generally means he's very carefree about who he eats and when, and doubly so cause he knows about Space Bunny (since he's sharing the same memories as Forest).

Granted, he also lets his hunger get the best of him, especially around cats, so... X3

Hope this makes sense, and feel free to ask any clarifying questions below!

I like this explanation a lot, actually! A nice way to keep things a bit goofy and allow for casual nommings, but still allowing for some stakes if certain characters or situations call for it. Plus it's a concept that leaves open the door for some fun subversion; perhaps someday we can look forward to seeing a really willing prey-type stubbornly lingering on the hips of someone who hadn't even wanted to eat them in the first place.
