Just going over some of the difficulties this year, as well as recapping what went well, since I'm just about done with things this year!

That's right, we're in the final stretch now! I think this has been my most productive attempt so far, with it only being about mid-month, and I'm already almost done. The lastest three have been chosen, and even though I may do a couple more that really caught my eye after this final set, I'm not going to push too hard for those. I've been drawing almost non-stop this whole month in my free time after all, so I need a bit of a break! XD

Still, I want to thank everyone that made a submission; they were all really very lovely and made me smile seeing how much people enjoyed my work, and how they imagined meeting and interacting with my boys. Thank you again! ❤

My only regret is that I couldn't just draw all 155 submissions I had this year; there were a lot of really great ones I simply didn't get a chance to attempt. I did learn that I need to clarify the rigidness of the submission ideas next time I have a theme like this. In my head, I thought even being loosely date related was fine, but some people went overboard trying to describe things perfectly, and somehow fit them into only two panels. I apologize for this, I really should have been more clear, maybe posted some example ideas for what was acceptable.

I also need to clarify exactly how I chose the submissions; only 4 out of the currently chosen 12 were hand-picked (1 in each set of 3), the rest were completely chosen at random. I used random.org set on a scale between 1 and 155, where I would just "roll" for a number there. So long as it adhered to the rules it was chosen and the person in question messaged over email.

Why sets of 3? As a motivation tactic for handling so many commissions, I only choose small groups to keep myself going. That way, the task doesn't seem quite as daunting as a huge list might, and completing all three at once gives me a nice confidence boost and gets me pumped to work on the next set of 3! Also, choosing one out of every three by hand means that, no matter what, there is one in each group that I know for sure I want to work on, which also helps keep me going. This technique proved very effective over all (as you can see from the above results), so I definitely want to do something similar with commissions again later on.

And that's it! I'll finish this next three this week (if time allows), and then take a short break...Then I'll do as many as I can through the rest of the month! Assuming I don't burn out before that, of course. X3

Thanks again everyone! Look forward to more stuff soon! :3
