Content

Hello all,

Nine months ago I opened this Patreon. Since then I've changed the formula quite a bit, first by increasing the amount of content I produced, how often I uploaded new content, then by adding new categories of content (Experiments, Reworks, Nudes) on top of the existing ones (Sequences, Characters). Voting multipliers arrived and departed. And for all that duration, Log Myu pages have been regularly published. None of that would have happened without your feedbacks, and I believe it's part of the reason I can consider what I do here a success, especially considering where and when it all started!

As I mentionned previously in the past, I'm constantly looking to improve how I handle things here, so once again I'll be asking for your feedbacks. I prepared five questions, it would help a lot if you could reply to them (but of course feel free to comment outside of these if needed)! :

  • If you had to name one issue with my Patreon, what would it be?
  • Conversely, what do you think is the main strength of my Patreon, the one thing I shouldn't change?
  • What would you like to see more often, less often?
  • How important is it for you that content voted one month is being released that same month?
  • Do you have any suggestion for me to improve my Patreon?

As usual, thank you all for your support, and a big extra thank you to all those who'll take the time to reply!

I think your doing an amazing job, but I worry you might be spreading yourself too thin with all these drawings and might get burnt out.

Another Person

I agree, nobody wants to get burnt out. I think he deserves a month break or something.

Your patreon is great. :) I only don't get why some content (like sequences) kept locked despite being posted on deviantart.

Viera Valen

Honestly have to say its all great all around, only thing is you don't want to spread yourself too thin! Maybe do some things less often :)

DrMajalis

Id like to see more variety in body types. So many people draw ssbbws already, few people just draw pleasantly plump/chubby characters

• If you had to name one issue with my Patreon, what would it be? Not enough fat blobs • Conversely, what do you think is the main strength of my Patreon, the one thing I shouldn't change? Really high quality stuff • What would you like to see more often, less often? More fat blobs • How important is it for you that content voted one month is being released that same month? Kind of important • Do you have any suggestion for me to improve my Patreon? More fat blobs

More variety in sizes, so much ultra size😪😪

pixiveo

Thanks! Regarding your question, this is related to Patreon's rules. The home page of a Patreon has to be free of any mature content, even if the page itself is marked as mature. Most of what I create technically isn't mature content, but depending who you're asking, it could be considered mature due to its fetishy nature. I'd rather avoid getting my account suspended, so I keep everything locked just in case.

First and foremost really quality stuff you upload bud. Second, as has been stated by others, make sure you are not overworking yourself. That doesn't mean a month break, but we don't know what your work week looks like, and it seems your pics take a lot of effort so thats why we concern as its too common in this field for burnout to occur and authors like yourself get shackled and depressed over their situation. Third and final, I would prefer more variety in sizes other than ultra size, which is probably more work as ultra size may be the only interest in large set of your patrons, personally I am indifferent and preffer barely chubby to basic fat but whatever gets the green right? I believe also experimental works should be every other month rather than monthly to focus on wg sequences and log myu, but that's complety my opinion.

Kmac

More frequent uploads of log myu I guess? Or at least more consistent uploads of it would be nice

SomeLostLeo

I'd say your main strength is your upload frequency, which I think is important for paid content. I wouldn't mind if a drawing isn't complete in the same month it was voted for as long as it's not too far afterwards (like 2 or 3 months I'd consider too far). I'd like to see less chubby art, to me they lack impact compared to larger sizes.

SomeLostLeo

There can be different body types while keeping the sizes bigger. Plus the Log Myu comic has had a lot of chubby works in it so far if you look at it page by page. It might be why SSBBW and USBBW were winning the polls so much.

karson

Personally, I literally stick around just for log myu. Everything else is nice though, but for me, I'd like more comics and less character drawings.

I've been really enjoying being a patron to you. Your adaptability and consistent effort to push new and interesting ideas to your Patreon has not gone unnoticed, and I really appreciate seeing that from a creator. The one thing that I see this Patreon falling into that I've seen other artist's Patreons fall into is OC voting bias. In a lot of the polls for monthly character drawings, your OCs and other artist's OCs are frequently suggested. While there's no problem with that, they tend to overpower the polls due to a bias that the creator's audience has towards those characters, be it by familiarity or sheer appreciation. Overall it's not a huge issue, but you may consider setting up a separate poll for OC content? That way, you get a fairer chance to do fanart of established media characters. Totally up to you though. Otherwise, dividing the monthly polls into sizes was a great idea and gets a lot of variability for drawings each month. Again, your adaptability and ingenuity is what makes this Patreon so outstanding. Uploading the same month as a vote is inconsequential - your health and time come first, so if you need extra time to finish something, especially with the amount of work you do each month, it's absolutely no issue. I'm really enjoying everything you've been posting and look forward to everything going forward!

DrMajalis

Just want to add id love to see more stuff like the chubby Amber, that's A+

I'm aware Log Myu is being hit or miss depending on who you're asking, so it's good to hear you're here for the comic! I can't say at the moment whether or not it's possible to publish more Log Myu, but I take note :)

SirMister

I only subscribed because of Log Myu, the comic, not being interested in any other images you create, although they are amazing pieces of art. I love comics, so what if you start another second comic or focus more on Log Myu?

pixiveo

At the moment I can't tell if I could create more than the usual 8 pages per month. However I believe switching to a fix schedule should be manageable with some planning. I'll see what I can do.

Jotaro

I’ve noticed that when polls happen, it seems that OCs dominate. Love the ultra size :P I’m very bias so the bigger the better. Try not to get burnt out.

Jayix Chezro

1- No issues, everything is perfect 2- Your consistent uploads and activity with your followers 3- I think everything is fine just how it is, nothing more and nothing less 4- Quality over Quantity, don’t rush anything into one month if it means cutting corners of your art, if someone cares enough about you they would stay for the second month for previously voted content from the month before 5- no suggestions Just Keep Doing What You’re Doing ^w^

bentleyjet

I really like the serialization. Sequences are also nice!

gbp9

To start off with, I think you're doing a great job and I'm very happy overall with being a patron. The biggest issue I feel right now is the prevelance of OCs winning polls. I don't mind so much with your OCs so much as with other artists OCs, as if I wanted to see their OCs I would go support them, but I generally do prefer non-OCs to OCs. The thing I would change least about your patreon is definitely the pinup and sequence polls, there's defintely room to tinker with them, but at their core, they're the main thing I'm a patron for. I'd like to see more consistency with the uploads of Log Myu, like one day a week where it got uploaded. As long as the content is reasonably close to when I voted for it I don't mind it at all, keep doing what you're doing on this front and don't let it stress you out. One suggestion I'd make is to return to using the WIP room in your discord, even if I didn't comment I liked seeing drawings in there.

1) Having a focus split between so many projects. 2) Regular comic updates with an ongoing storyline to follow. 3) Less reworks, more Log Myu. 4) Not that important. 5) Can't think of any, it seems to deliver everything I want now.

grotlover2

1) Might be spreading yourself to thin by focusing on so much different content 2) Love the comic and you post fairly regular updates 3) If I was to say anything I would say less monthly images/poll content. They are cool but I do not think anyone would mind spreading them out to every other month to give yourself some breathing room if needed 4) Not important 5) I agree with gbp9 WIPs are cool and maybe some random stuff for yourself. Otherwise I really think you do a great job with your Patreon

pixiveo

By blobs, I guess you're referencing to sizes above the usual ultra size from character polls? Or is ultra size enough?

pixiveo

Glad the quality is a strong point, hopefully I'll still be able to improve it! I take note regarding experiments and size variety. The latter should be improved with the new format of the character polls, but it'll take some time before the changes are noticeable.

pixiveo

Regarding chubby art lacking impact, is it purely due to the smaller size or are there setups that you find appealing even at that size (is it something I can improve in some way)?

pixiveo

Like you I've noticed the OC bias, but at the moment I can't say I have a good solution. Running a dedicated poll would bring back size unbalance (unless it was divided into separate sizes, but I'm afraid I couldn't create that much content monthly). There's a finite amount of OCs, so I assume that at some point we'll run out of suggestions, unless patrons are ready for another round, but it's obviously not ideal. I'll try to find something. Thank you for your kind words!

pixiveo

It was initially the plan to have The Kitsushi (my first comic) running in parallel to Log Myu, but the majority of patrons voted in favor of focusing on Log Myu a few weeks ago. So for the time being I'll stay focused on a single long-running comic. What I could possibly do however is something like an occasional single page comic strip/4 komas. I assume that the story is what primarily interests you in comic, so would something like that still be satisfactory?

pixiveo

The OC issue is something I need to look into more deeply. I don't have a good solution for now, but hopefully I'll find something. Being biased is fine, everyone has their preferences! ;p

pixiveo

Well, thank you! I'll keep in mind what you mentionned regarding point 4.

pixiveo

Your point about OCs is something I'll need to work on. I noticed it but didn't think some patrons saw it as an issue, but it's been quoted quite a few times now. At the moment I don't have a good solution to offer, but I hope I'll find one! After having read your feedback and those of some others, I'll see what I can do about Log Myu to ensure a more regular publishing. Posting WIPs more often in the dedicated channel is something I could start doing again immediately, I'll go back at it as soon as I have something to show :) Thank you!

pixiveo

Noted for the reworks. They usually only take one drawing slot per month (unless I create some on my own accord), do you also include other forms or reworks like nudes in it? Publishing more Log Myu will probably be complicated to do time-wise, however I should be able to schedule how I publish them to ensure more regularity.

pixiveo

Having too many polls is something I've been concerned about. I want to bring the same tier benefits to everyone every month, but due to how Patreon works I don't have many options than to effectively run polls monthly. If I could, I'd store votes and suggestions. On the long it'll hopefully possible, whether within Patreon or not! Thank you :)
