Trying something new! For right now, this piece is pretty much only available on Patreon.

It is a response to a prompt from my writing group. There was a huge list of relationship tropes and the ones I picked were Date, Alone Among Couples, Love at First Sight, and Heartbeat. (1829 Words)

(A Manifested Magic Story)
Georgie fidgeted with their phone as the meeting time got closer and they still had not gotten a text. It was Valentine’s Day and, somehow, they were meeting someone for the first time tonight—over dinner no less! They were meeting at a place that was a little on the fancy side—just like one would go to for a first date. In this case, a Mom-and-Pop steakhouse in Old Town. Georgie had even made an attempt to dress up. Opting for a masculine presentation, they went with one of their nicest button-down shirts, slacks, and a pair of very nice suspenders. The coat was one they had not worn in months but fit their frame at least.
However, despite all of these things, strictly speaking, this was not a date—and no matter how much affection they passively siphoned off the crowd would change that.
