I could have sworn there was gonna be an April 31st... I'm just gonna throw this in the April pile anyway.

With this one I was less concerned about lines, light, and shadow, and more concerned with the fabric, muscles, and skin.  I finally got the multires modifier working, which is a tool that helps me sculpt at a more detailed level.  I had never been able to get it to work in previous versions of blender and I was tired of sinking time into it, so it took me a while to revisit it.  Now that I can use it properly, I get to properly sculpt body features.

Anatomy is one of my weak areas when it comes to working with characters, so this is a nice opportunity to incorporate that practice into my work.  Normally I just do really boring stuff like sculpting exercises from scratch.  I still have a lot of learning to do, but simply being able to add detail where there previously weren't enough vertices is a breath of fresh air.

Superb work, Nyl ! What does the multires workflow look like? Do you add all your subdiv levels and then just switch between them to do low/high detail changes as needed, or is it more subtle when to use it? Does it completely negate needing to use Dyntopo and/or remeshing, or does it work in conjunction with them?

I wonder what bathing suit Sheeva would wear? Not many options could hold her 3x-large Twix bars. Either that or maybe the choice is one that just let's it all free and loose in something that's more string then clothing.

These look nice you should do mileena

Multires essentially allows you to sculpt on a model using subdivided levels, but all of that sculpted detail is stored in the modifier, not baked into the model itself. I haven't used it much but the main disadvantage about multires seems to be that you can't section it into shapekeys. So if you sculpt detail into the multires, it's pretty much baked into the modifier and you can't do much with shapekeys to undo it. When doing still images this is fine, but with animations you can run into a lot of issues if you're not careful. For example if you have the character flexing their biceps, specific details left over in the multires could cause it to look strange because the muscle underneath is fundamentally deforming. Therefore: good, dense topology is still necessary in certain regions if you want good deformation during animations.
