Hey everyone I said I'd do a Q&A so here it is.  I don't expect much, but feel free to ask anything related to my work, my plans, etc.  I wanted to do it so that I could not only answer some questions, but get any important information people want to know out there before I make an FAQ that I will endlessly refer people to in the future.  I'm also not very good at getting back to comments and messages, so if you asked something that I didn't answer in the past then this could be a good place to ask again.

What are your plans for the future? Where are you heading with all this because you are good at what you do and very much improving

Avi

How did you get started with doing animations? I've been curious about getting into more creative work, and even though I don't have the best fine art talent, I've always been curious about model animation a la SFM/Blender. Any tips for those wanting to get into it all?

I got couple of questions, don't know if you only answer one, but here it goes. 1. What is your favorite pastime aside from blender? If blender is even your fav pastime. 2. How much would you say it takes you timewise to make a single pinup compared to a shorter looped animation? 3. Among your OC's, who is your favorite? 4. Does your own work "do it" for you? I never really thought about that kind of thing before until I read a tweet in a meme format where the artist said that he can't really "enjoy" his work in that way, but he can "guide" others to it ( yeah, it was Avengers Red Skull meme ) Got me wondering if it's the case for you as well.

Any plans for a futa x futa animation?

AyQ

Will you do more futa x futa animations? That draenei - nelf boat fuck with balls touching was godlike

2021-07-15 04:31:50 I've been pursuing the Kassandra model from AC:O for years *thousand yard stare*. That's the only one I feel very strongly about, if not just for the time I've sunk so far.

Maybe. Those are tough to do and they require a lot of exaggeration.

2021-07-15 04:31:49 Different people are good at different things and no one's perfect, so I try to split up what I do into separate sections and compare them to people who are really good at them. My animation is decent, but still not close to people like Hydra, SDSMS, or Ellowas. Of course I do a lot of animation, but I haven't made it a point to improve in this category for a while, so it feels like it has leveled out for now. My fidelity is pretty good, but rough around the edges compared to a lot of Blender artists out there. This is a bit more complicated of a subject because my projects and considerations are different than many. My lighting is great. I'm always learning and it feels intuitive to me now. My only concern is that it can take me a while to arrive at the set-up I like, I shy away from riskier 'looks', and I need to have a deeper understanding of the tech behind it. My cinematography is pretty good. It's not exactly intuitive to me yet and I'm always getting new ideas from people better than me in this field. My turnover is not good. I'm pretty slow for a variety of reasons, but I can see plenty of other putting out the same if not more content of similar quality faster than I am. I can also see a lot of areas where I could improve, but haven't yet. My sound is pretty good, but I haven't improved very much in that field for a while. A lot of people are bringing on voice actors for small projects and I'm still ripping sounds and patch-working. My character design, tech & physics understanding, and rigging skill is all pretty bad. I've got plenty of work to do there in order to catch up. Those are just a few categories that I try to grade myself on. It's important to try to remove yourself from your work, and your work from its subject matter, and try to grade it objectively. Just because people like one thing and not the other doesn't necessarily indicate the specific qualities of either.

2021-07-15 04:31:46 The angles usually suck and I don't want to spend extra time rendering them. Maybe it's just not my style, maybe I just don't like the lighting, maybe I'm just not very good at it.

2021-07-15 04:31:50 I just started with no formal training and continued on from there. If you're trying to do it yourself, make sure you're consistent and your motivation is clear. Skill lives and dies by consistency, and art lives and dies by motivation. I know what I set out to do since I started learning animation and it hasn't left me since. Also use Google and YouTube, they're your best friends.

2021-07-15 04:31:50 I'd like to transition to focus more on my own characters, leaving other characters for smaller animations. Soon I want to take on larger original projects, starting with a 10-15 minute script. In the future there are some stories that I'd like to tell that will make use of everything I've learned. Who knows what will happen in the mean time.

2021-07-15 04:31:50 1. Video games, walking. 2. A pin-up usually takes a day or two if you don't count the time it takes to prepare the models. 3. My OCs don't register with me on an emotional level, but I think Maev's face turned out nice. 4. Of course I'm into the kind of work I'm doing, and I design it to appeal to my interests, but I'm not thinking about it in that way when I'm making it.

To avoid the generic selfish questions. I want to some stuff related to you. Who is your fav character to animate with. What is your favorite pairing and genre (F,M Futa, F,F ect) and for shits and giggles, what is one of your favorite movies and one of your favorite pieces of media "movies, games, music ect. of the last year 2019ish""

2021-07-15 04:31:46 I don't think I have a favorite character for animation, they all have their strengths and weaknesses. There are plenty that I don't enjoy using and it's usually because they're riddles with bugs or because their geometry and weighting is bad. Favorite pairing depends. Besides futa and some proportional tastes, I'm pretty vanilla. I like Futa x Female, Female x Female, Male x Female, sometimes Futa x Futa. Chemistry matters too. I'm not sure what my favorite media is the past year. I jump around a lot. In terms of movies I really liked Parasite and 1917, those are pretty recent.

"first 7 minutes" So the implication here is that I was just getting started. That took me months and I'm definitely not spending more time on it. Maybe small loops in the future, but no where near what I did with that project. I'd like to move on.

Sindel is the best model ever... This'll be so great

I’d like to ask what gear you use to render out sequences. CPU/GPU memory
