Okay this took me a while to get to.

I've been busy this time of year, as I'm sure I said in the last update.  I have another animation coming this month and otherwise I'm working on this project with Rikolo.  It's tough sometimes to find the motivation to animate when it's something I have to do in my free time, so of course some days I go without even doing so.

The good news is that I've learned a ton since when I made the switch to Blender.  I've finally gotten to the point where I feel comfortable with the program and working with it feels intuitive.  Even the rendering process, which kept me up on so many frustrating nights, seems like less of a wildcard.  I'm still learning a lot, of course, but it feels good to finally get my footing.  So many times before I've assumed a simple animation would take very little time, only to end up getting caught up with the lighting, materials, environment, etc.

I wonder, now, if I should looking into doing this full time.  I quite like it more than what I do now and I feel as though I could get a lot more done if it was my main focus.  My fear is that I would eventually become disinterested in the animation process if I was completely committed to it.  I suppose I can't find out for sure unless I try it.  The one thing I do know for sure is that I can't keep doing Overwatch porn forever.  It would be wise to start introducing some variety into my content stream.

Personal thoughts out of the way, there's not much I can say about this month's plan considering we're already most of the way through.  I'll try to get some extra Patreon content posted besides WIP stuff, but most often I just can't put my mind to it as I have more important things to think about.  I do enjoy doing write-ups on my learning process, so I'm hoping to get another one of those up before the end of the month.  With any luck, there will be lots of pretty pictures to look at.

Wrapping this up, thank you all for your support.

Heh, there's an adage, "don't make your passion into a job" but then again I've seen both people who were pretty miserable as artists and folks who are really having a grand time. I think ultimately it's about being well balanced in general, and it can go both ways. If you have the capacity it may be worth a shot, you certainly have the ability as an artist. Regardless, thanks for all the quality content so far.

Good to hear you're becoming more adept with Blender, that means more/better content for us! To play devil's advocate with Howard, I was always told from a young age that "if you make your vocation your avocation you won't work a day in your life", so if you can manage to do this full time I'm a strong supporter of giving it a try! Making it your career doesn't mean you're stuck doing it until the day you die; you're allowed to have more than one career throughout your life. If the day comes where you don't want to do it anymore, so be it, change. I will agree with you though, if the only thing you do is animate Overwatch characters you will become numb. I've loved your recent non-OW animations, variety is the spice of life I say. My advice is to continue branching out, stimulating yourself with new and ever evolving content. Of course continue prioritizing the things that appeal to you, but don't be afraid to try new things. Long story short your content has been among the best for me for a long while, and that's why I support you. If you set yourself up for success, I'll continue to support you as well. Cheers, friend!
