July 7 Patreon Access Errors Update (Patreon)

Hey everyone,

The support team got back to me and said the issue seemed like it was resolved, but I'm skeptical. Can anyone who still has the issue and hasn't resolved it on their own comment on this post? I'd just like to gather some of the usernames from my messages and comments and send them to the support team as proof that there's still an issue. It's important however that you don't try to fix it on your own for the next few days, or else they'll just assume the issue resolved itself.

If this is still a problem, then it has probably affected a ton of people who haven't actually kept up with the situation and don't know how to fix it. Plus I just want reassurance that this isn't going to happen again.

If the issue is actually resolved, then you can all ignore this and move on.

UPDATE: I didn't realize that if it doesn't recognize you as a member then you can't comment on public posts. WOOPS, I thought anyone could comment. I've changed it in the settings so hopefully those still affected can comment now. I also didn't realize that it wouldn't even send notifications for public posts either. Just based on my messages alone though, it seems clear to me that Patreon hasn't actually fixed this problem on their end.

I just re subbed to the same tier and it didn't charge me extra and allowed me to see everything again. Hopefully that works for everyone else and doesn't charge them extra as well Edit: I did this when it first happened actually late night on the 3rd

Problem is, if everyone else’s error is the same as mine, then they can’t even comment on this post to tell you that the error is effecting them. I had to unsubscribe and resub like the others in order to comment here.

Im still having the problem after subbing and resubbing. It will fix for a bit and then revert it seems.

Will add on that I had to unsub and then resub again. Didn't notice it until today I was not able to see any previous posts. As also mentioned, I was unable to comment as well. I don't know if it effects direct messaging, but if someones having the problems they likely can't post a comment. Best to try a direct message, or maybe a discord post.

Had to cancel and resubscribe (no charge though) as wasn't able to comment on any post or view any posts. Fingers crossed looks to be fixed...for now?

I resubbed "after the fix"just to comment im sure people are still dealing with it, but resubbing seems to be the only solution it doesn't cost extra at least

I was still having the issue as of 7/8/23 and had to resub like everyone else. I noticed that if you are having the issue, it acts like you're not subbed at all, so you can't comment on any posts. That's going to make it hard to collect any usernames of people that are still effected by this.

Folks, you'll need to unsubscribe and then resubscribe again. Worked for others and worked for me too.

Just realized I’d been missing the last few posts since the announcement of the daily challenge. Same solution: sub & resub/switch tiers for them to reappear. Strange shit for a decade old site that barely functions half the time (in that case it’s working as intended lol)

Interesting thing happening, when I fixed the sub issuen. Canceling and resuming. I'm now randomly getting notifications for past post, like months ago post. Weird.

I had the issue (couldn't see some posts), resubbed, it was fixed for a bit (saw the posts), and then the issue reappeared like a week or two ago (couldn't see the posts anymore) but another resub fixed it. Just sharing my experience for reference/comparison.
