My reaction to Belly saying, "Conrad, there's only you, there's only ever been you" was like, "...well yeah, babe, you're a 16 year old girl who's had a crush on this guy since you were 10 – of course you feel that way." It's so realistic to how a teenager feels with their first love, so I think the show really nailed those feelings. But that's why I don't necessarily look at that moment and think that if she ever does fall in love with anyone else, they wouldn't be a second choice per se. I personally feel as though you can never love two people the same way, and that may be for the best if she ever does end up with Jeremiah, honestly. The love Belly has for Conrad might be sweet, sure, but it's also very...idealized. She has that man on a pedastal and those sort of loves are never long-lasting, IMO.

I like Belly with both Conrad and Jeremiah, and ship her with both. Still, I wish the untouchable closed off ambiguous behaviour didn't take as much space with Conrad. It's been done too many times in shows and it's no longer interesting. I enjoy Bonrad so much more when they are just them, when things don't have to be dramatic, or rather the drama doesn't have to come from them and their relationship.
