By the way, you couldn't remember what Cal did for a living, and idk exactly what you'd call it but from memory he's in charge of the new housing developments in town - so those unfinished buildings that Nate and Cassie sneak off too I'm pretty sure were built by Cal's company. I think he owns like an investments/building company.

As for Elliot, I really like his character and have actually trusted him for the most part as a character since he was introduced. He seems genuine but what you were saying did spark some wonders in my head as well like 'what if?' haha

I've come to the conclusion that Elliot does care, but he's also reckless and thinks with his 🍆 a lot- Ethan is the only good guy and nobody wants him 💀. And yeah Rue is not selling anything out of that suitcase RIP

So much happened in this episode. And if you noticed, this was the only episode without Rue's narration. And the WAY it shifted to Jules narrating. I 100% believe Marsha didn't say anything is because she knows. If you got back to Cal's backstory, she absolutely knew about him and Derek. The way it was shot, it's perceived that she planned to get pregnant. It's the last shot of them wrestling, you see Marsha and Derek exchanging looks. She knew. And she's been sweeping it under the rug their entire marriage. With Elliot. I also believe he manipulated and sabotaged Rue and Jules from the moment he found out about Jules. At first, he wanted Rue. But he realized that she was too into the drugs. So, then he turned his attention to Jules. This episode felt really calculated by Elliot. Because, he blew the drugs away, which good on him. But, he KNEW that Rue's an addict, so why would suggest drinking around her girlfriend who doesn't know she's still using? If he wanted to tell Jules, there were a million other ways he could've done it. But he was completely sober when he suggested getting liquor. And that's what makes it feel like he calculated every single move since he met Jules. My opinion on Rue. Her addiction is 100% linked to her dad. If you notice, Elliot was somewhat a substitute link to her dad. Because, Elliot and Rue danced the EXACT same way she and her dad danced. So that's why she latched onto him. Which leads into her addiction. Because when she's HIGH, on the verge of overdosing, it's really the only way she can - in her own mind/way - see her dad. I still don't have a lot of opinions on Maddy, Cassie and Nate. Because I'm still waiting for that bomb to drop. But, the scene with Cassie/Cal........ For some reason, I REALLY loved that scene. I think it's because it reminded me that "Drink Before the War by Sinead O'Conner" existed and I haven't heard that song in FOREEEEVER!! This episode was hilarious, but so heartbreaking at the same time. I literally can't wait for next episode!!
