Glad that you had fun with this one; David Suchet gives a great performance as the Landlord. This episode's often quite mixed among fans, but it's nice to see a positive reaction to it!

I wasn't that fond of this episode upon first watch. I didn't dislike it, more undecided at the time. But I've actually grown to like it a whole lot more each time. I'd say David Suchet is most famous for playing Agatha Christie's Hercule Poirot.

Evan!!

I always forget this one exists but I enjoy it.

Average for me. First half is quite creepy but the 'explanation' is rubbish. Also the 'twist' that he's her son rather than her father is so completely inconsequential... who cares what the relationship is? They're still doing the same bullshit. Most students in the UK live in shared houses of 4-6 people in their 2nd and 3rd years at university - it's definitely good fun!! :)

Quite a fun story for the most part. The twist with the Landlord being the son of the sick mother might seem a bit bizarre and outlandish in some areas but I still like it for some reason. There's a bit of sad and eery feeling to it. The reveal and closure genuinely feels bittersweet and twisted. Likewise to you, I'm glad Bill's friends didn't die. It's kinda nice to see more perspective on Bill's student life and her interacting with new people. You said you wished they would be central and I actually agree. From what I remember reading somewhere, Bill's friends were meant to be recurring in some ways. Apparently there's a possibility that they were meant to be with Bill in the first episode when she meets Heather in the bar based on script directions (but I'm not sure if what I read is entirely true though). Might have been a few production issues as Series 10 does have a bunch of deleted scenes that were most likely cut for time. I might research it again just to be properly sure. I think Harry was intended to be the grandson of a Classic Who Companion at some point. Either way, it's a shame we didn't get more of them.
