Ian's not doing so well after losing Monica (and maybe even Mickey). I feel like that was the trigger, like you said. During this episode he was being really obsessive, and he was also just mean to Fiona. She did not deserve that, especially because she found them another good building. I found this online: ''People with bipolar disorder get mean and nasty during agitated downswings or dysphoric manias because this is a symptom of bipolar disorder.'' And I also found this: ''Mania in particular tends to trigger aggressive emotions and anger. The racing thoughts and high energy levels you experience can leave you feeling angry, irritable, and frustrated. Those angry emotions, in turn, can cause aggressive and inappropriate behaviors. When things don’t go your way, or if someone tries to rein you in, you may lash out. A manic mood can make you yell at people, blame others, and even start physical fights.'' So yeah -- he's probably behaving like this because of his disorder. I'm sorry for my long comment on this subject, I just find mental illness and things like that very interesting. Also -- that scene between Lip and Youens!! The scene where Youens says ''you don't like what you see? don't look''. Such good acting, Jeremy Allen White is amazing. Thank you for the reaction, have a good day!

The thing with meds, especially for bipolar people, is that it’s really just part of the treatment and when something triggering happens, like the loss of a loved one, meds aren’t necessarily gonna keep you from having an episode.. it’s one of the harsh realities of living with that illness.
