The reason why the group that the arc sent down seems chaotic, uneducated (dye lol), etc, is because most of them are from a lower class. As you said, Clarke and Wells seem different because, as Bellamy said, they are of the "privileged class". Wells father is the chancellor and Clarke's mom is a doctor and her father was an engineer.

Ahh I'm so glad you're starting this show! It gets super good. The pilot is kinda rusty imo but it definitely gets better. I would recommend it 100%!!

That’s crazy that there’s still a class system in that time period and in space!😂 You would think everyone would be educated the same unless you had a specialized skill like a doctor. And these are the descendants of Earth’s survivors; they should all be like royalty. Strange.

I absolutely love this show, it’s definitely one of my favorites up there with Buffy, Twd, and Shameless. Most of the first season isn’t a great depiction of what the show later became, because it was very much still trying to hold on to it’s roots in the books, which were for a much younger demographic. This show’s character development and story arch’s are top notch and I definitely hope you continue with it!
