Marcel can be a bit ridiculous sometimes. He can only blame himself for all this. He should’ve known what would happened. On Klaus and Elijah’s part not Francesca. But the fight was entertaining😭

Here is what I think Marcel’s plan was and how it differed from the last time: Marcel said that he wanted to “lead Klaus away” to distract him. So, Marcel doesn’t think he can kill Klaus. His plan was to give his guys more of a chance because they would never be able to get past BOTH Klaus and Elijah. Marcel was hoping that if all of his guys went running toward Elijah SOME would be able to get through him…and head toward the witch ceremony, where they are making the werewolf rings, in order to prevent it. Marcel said, in his speech, “Kill their witch, destroy their spell, and get the hell out”. So, in that sense Marcel’s plan isn’t AS stupid however, it still failed because Elijah is such a badass (lol) that not even one guy got past him. Overall, Marcel's goal was NOT to get at the originals, it was to stop the werewolf rings from being made. I think the risk was worth it to Marcel because the other option was a werewolf army that, in the end, could kill all the vampires anyway (and we can see how even a SMALLER version of a werewolf army does just what Marcel feared with how quickly the Guerrea’s took out Marcel’s guys – and even Elijah for a minute).

Loved Elijah’s “you will always have a choice”. I also I liked Elijah and Klaus’s interaction at the site of the bombing. I thought their banter was really playful and fun. I appreciated the lighter moment between the brothers.

LOVED the Correa/Guerrea twist. Love that you now know why the "humans" were so confident. It was very clever. There was a hint dropped at the beginning of the episode where Marcel says (to Jackson and Oliver) “back in 25’ I wiped out a whole line of Guerrea werewolves”. So, I'm assuming after that is when a survivor from the Guerrea family survived and changed their name to Correa in order to stay safe by hiding as human. They waited to active their curse until now b/c now that they have the rings they are so strong that they don't have to fear being killed by Marcel and the vampires (and they can also take back the city). Additionally hints have been dropped as far back as episode 12. In the episode "dance back from the grave" during a flashback to the late 1910's, Klaus and Elijah are seen meeting with the Guerrea family and Klaus says "You two are from the Guerrera crime family, a brutish pack of thieves and killers. And that's nothing compared to what you become on a full moon, is it?"

Yeah they hinted about the Guerrera family being wolves but I didn’t see it coming that the Correa family was the same family with a changed name and a dormant wolf gene😂

Every single time I get to this episode, by the end of it I ALWAYS forget what Marcel's plan was. I know he was leading Klaus away on purpose. He KNEW he was gonna get his ass kicked, that was planned. But I forgot to what end. Marcel is very smart, but every time they put him against an Original they make him seem like he's stupid. And that’s very annoying! And anytime an Original fights a group of people I will never understand the choreography of having them go at them one at a time. If they ALL just gang up on them, they'd easily be able to take them down. But because they're Originals you can't show them as being weak or a step behind. But I literally hate the huge fight scenes because they always make the vampires seem stupid. It took two Guerrera werewolves to spring on Elijah and take him out.

The Originals were "designed" by Esther because of the Wolfs in their village and therefore the werewolf venom could not kill them. This is the reason they only go crazy and than go back to normal when a non original vampire would die

otherboy

Ohh that makes perfect sense!😂 But then you would think that the immunity would be passed on to vampires that the Originals make since they are passing on their bloodline🤔

Yeah not like Marcel didn't steal those stones that were supposed to be the ones to make rings with to protect the baby. Just blame Klaus when Marcel does exactly the same. He's always the asshole lol. Didn't you say it's war when Marcel attacked Klaus and then surrendered. What is Klaus supposed to do there? Just let Marcel run away with his stones? So one dimensional.
