I’m gonna be honest: this is where the season gets really stale for me. At least before we had some entertaining characters, so I could excuse some of the writing and questionable storylines. Now (at least in this ep) it’s just relying heavily on delena, which works if you’re into them, but is a nightmare if you’re not. Rewatching these eps I’m realizing just how much Elena’s character has changed. Her morals have gone down the drain and I get that it’s bc she’s so “consumed by love”, but I wish they had written it so that both Elena and Damon evolved in ways that allowed their paths to converge organically.
