Yeah that actor was in Poldark. I just watched it recently and recognised him from Broadchurch. Can’t wait to see your reactions to this season! I’m not sure what the general consensus is but I really loved this season. I also found it interesting that they chose a middle aged woman to play the role, it really broke my heart when she asked what she would tell her daughter. Of course it happens in real life but you never see it on TV.

This is the best example I've ever seen as to how rape cases should be handled by authorities. Trish not reporting immediately is actually one of the most realistic things in this first episode. I think that is probably a very common response. That kind of trauma is so embarrassing and violating that most victims don't want to run immediately to the police and going home and curling up in a ball to wish it away rings very true. Other thoughts, love Beth's choice to be a trauma liaison. And that kind of location in that part of the Jurassic Coast does not come cheap.
