This show is toxic guilty pleasure haha as twisted as Kluas is, he's an evil genius. He's right about the witches, there aren't any good guys in this show, it's a chess match of villians

Camille is one of my favs on this show, I hate how klaus has been compelling her to give Marcel more chances when she knows better. But the plot I guess😂

Well what an interesting episode, I think I can see where this show is going, is like a Mafia show type, vampires, witches, and werewolves against each other, evil against evil I think so far this show is all about the villains and their stories and struggle for power. Like a Mafia kind of thing, people in the mafia are family and they root for each other but they are essentially bad people in the end. The Original family does seem to act as a Mafia family looking out for themselves first and even sacrificing their member's happiness for the greater good of the family name and power. Is very interesting, I enjoyed it a lot so far is a different concept to not have heroes against villains here. I find it very endearing Elijah's view of his family, is very much Frankenstein I think, his siblings being once humans and then their journey to monstrosity and his hope of saving them. How these monsters that have lost themselves still hold little parts of what once they were. Is fun to watch, I love the speeches they made lol they are so Shakespearean-like, and with those British accents.

About Silas, yeah we saw him getting into Klauses head in Season 4 when he thought he has a splinter of the white oak stake in his back.

I really love cami and I really hate how klaus is compelling her but there is kind of a connection between klaus and cami which we see, they do have some cute moments with the looks they give each other, the first few episodes are kinda slow, it definitely gets better through the later episodes of s1 and in s2 onwards it was amazing and definitely better then tvd in my opinion

Cami kind of reminds me of early s1 Elena: very self-aware, smart, knows her worth, and says what everybody else is thinking. I think she's really important as a contrast to the evil vampires and questionable witches. And like you said, it's clear the witches are really strong - it shows why Marcel feels so threatened by them and keeps them on a tight leash.
