Yay! You've made it to the season 1 two part finale! You've survived the first season. I am really looking forward to watching these two episodes. Sadly, it will have to wait a day or two. Dang!

One huge good point of finishing season 1 is you don't have to listen to the crappy fake music anymore. The original sound track comes back with season 2. The DVD's are the only way to get the original sound track for season 1. The emotional brother scenes are always so good. Jensen and Jared have really good chemistry together as brothers. The brother/family dynamic is so good in this show. Sam and John are so focused on going after the demon and killing it. Seeking revenge. Dean would love to kill the demon too, but not at the expense of his family. That's what stood out for me. Their family needs that. Someone who can keep their head level on what's really important. That's one of the many things I love about Dean. I had to laugh a bit at how frustrated you got at Sam when he delayed shooting the demon. I could feel your pain. I had felt the same. I chose to give Sam credit for being a bit overwhelmed at the confrontation and it all coming to a head right there. Sam is still relatively "new" to the serious monster hunting.

Totally agree about feeling frustrated that Sam didn't shoot yellow eyes, but I wouldn't say Sam is "new" to hunting by any means. I do get the whole thing of Dean taking care of him when he was a child. And I also get that Sam went to college, and got out of the life for 4 years. But that doesn't negate the fact that Sam has also been learning, and hunting since he was a child too. He's definitely not new. His hesitation was just a writing device to make sure yellow eyes wasn't killed off yet.

For sure he never wanted the life, but he was still forced into it. Sam was definitely protected from it for longer than Dean, but once the truth was made clear, Sam was thrust into it just as Dean had been. I'm just saying, I get that Dean is known to be the better hunter, but they BOTH were hunting as children. They both have been doing this for a long time. Like you said, Sam just doesn't want this life and went off college to get away from it. In that time (4 years) Dean was able to hone his skills better. Maybe he did get overwhelmed with yellow eyes, but considering how angry Sam is, I don't think he would've hesitated. I genuinely just think it was a plot device 🤣. But I could be wrong. 🤷🏾‍♀️
