Will you be watching the originals after tvd?

Mariela Oquendo Rodríguez

Stefan does care he’s just scared to show it! I LOVED Caroline and Matt in this episode throwing their truth at Klaus and Rebekah face 👌🏻 ughhh Finn is so annoying and a mamas boy....you’re so weird you hated Damon for being “bad” and now that he was trying to be good you want him bad again 😂 I can’t wait for you to finish this season... btw: The Originals start at season 5 of TVD!!!!! When you’re getting closer I’ll send you a link by message with the order to watch them.

I hate when people does that...Stefan had done awful things and people just say that it’s just a phase that he’s not like that 🤦🏻‍♀️

Well i remember when Damon was scared to feel too and all he got was how he was being a coward. Its not easy to feel for anyone, even for humans sometimes it to much, they all feel guilt, Damon felt guilt to for what he did, he even apologized a couple of times, but i feel bad that a lot of people dont feel he deserves it as Stefan does. I love both of them Damon and Stefan because they are both different but they are both the same in a lot of ways. I dont prefer anyone over the other thats why i like to give them both the chances they deserve and understand them both. I do feel Damon should work a little bit in the way he tries to control everything for Elena, yeah i get it he is very scared of losing her in anyway, he is kind of tramautized in that sense, but he should try to heal that so it doesnt become that toxic. I dont remember very well if later on he fix that. But Stefan does handle that better. Even tough sometimes that causes its own problems too. Rebekah is kind of a rollecoster 😂 lol. Wtf. She wants to kill him, then she feels bad, then she wants to kill him again. Control yourself.

I felt bad for Damon, especially when everyone thought he was causing a problem when he actually saved Matt. I hate how almost everyone has a specific mind set about Damon and don’t try to see him in any other way. What Stefan is going through is the exact same thing Damon was going through in season 1 but nobody excuse what Damon did, and in Stefan’s case both Damon and Elena are trying to get him back while Damon had to go through everything alone. Even in the flashbacks Stefan had Lexi and Damon didn’t have anyone. I do love Stefan and I want the nice Stefan back and he and Elena are cute but it hurt me when Elena and Stefan said what they said to him, at least they both realized that they did him wrong. For me Damon and Stefan’s relationship is the best in the show and I would love nothing more than to see them getting along and act like normal brothers. I don’t really understand why you want Damon to be bad and for everyone to hate him because I thought you hated him when he was bad but now you hate him when he’s good lol do you just hate Damon regardless? Because you still liked bad Stefan so can you clear up what you think about Damon?. I blame Klaus for ruining Stelena but I’m not complaining because the chemistry between Damon and Elena is so good. And I agree with you, even though it’s an unpopular opinion I don’t like Klaus or Klaus and Caroline together because he’s so evil and likes it and doesn’t regrets it, so unless he changes it’s a no from me. The originals as a whole are interesting to watch.

When did Damon apologize for the things he's done though? The only thing I remember is apologizing to Alaric once.

Everyone excused Damon for what he did in season 1. I can’t tell you how much hate I got for calling him out. And I’ve called out Stefan for what he’s done. Like so many have told me this is a show where everyone does bad things so I feel I must choose the lesser of two evils. That’s just me. Stefan for the most part has let Elena make her own decisions or supported her decisions and continues to even while he navigates his emotions. Damon has always tried to control Elena even if it was to save her. It’s just a matter of who you like at this point. I don’t like Damon’s personality and I’m not attracted to him so the decision is pretty easy for me😂🤷🏽‍♂️

Damon is a really fun interesting character and I'm always a sucker for villains but I'm not gonna lie, he can be a little annoying and immature sometimes lol. even on my third rewatch i still think Klaus is the best character in the TVD universe 🙃

People excused Damon in S1 because they knew his humanity was off or just in the recovery phase like Stefan is now. I believe both should be equally held accountable for their actions otherwise it would make me a hypocrite to excuse one and judge the other on the same or similar actions, which is one of the reasons why Damon's actions are sometimes forgiven, simply because forgiving Stefan also means accepting Damon's actions weren't him being his true self. Kol is an extremely interesting character. He's a vampire playboy, sex, booze and blood (I wouldn't be surprised if there were some drugs at times). As far as he's concerned, anything goes. However, Kol isn't a complete idiot (although he came across that way in this episode). I'd go as far as saying he's possibly the smartest of the Originals. He has a very interesting passion, which makes him fascinating. He's not much of a fighter, which is why Damon (who was a soldier) was able to beat him up despite Kol being an Original. I don't particularly like Klaus very much as a person, but he's a fascinating character. However, Caroline deserved an enormous round of applause for what she said to him. He needs someone to set him straight. Everyone is too scared of him, which is one of the reasons he's ended up so arrogant. Deep down, you could see the insecure human when he showed Caroline his art. He was like a teenager with a crush, all shy. Every now and again, these glimmers of Klaus emerge, and I like that side of him. But it doesn't happen often enough to redeem himself in my eyes. I ship Caroline with someone else, although it is funny seeing how Klaus behaves around Caroline. The only person I ship Matt with is Rebekah (although I ship her with someone else). I understand you not liking Rebekah at this point in the show, I couldn't stand her the first time at this point. She sort of grows on you. She has more of a soft spot for humans than any of the other Originals. She just hates Elena, and to be fair, I completely understand why. Finn is a mummy's boy who I absolutely despise. I'm not a fan of Esther's either. She still tried to kill Elena. Can I add, all of the costumes in this episode were amazing, and the cast looked fabulous. Great reaction, looking forward to the next one. Take care. Stay safe, stay healthy. x

I wouldn't say Stefan is a drug addict because blood is his source of life so an eating disorder would be the better comparison to us humans because that is the most relatable thing :) Stefan turned off his emotions off multiple times without beeing compelled so he did it before. Damon was in the same place than Stefan is right know when the show started and some Damon fans defended/"understand" him like you do now with Stefan. between the appearance of Kathrine and Elena were more than 500 years so until there will be an other doppelgänger it would take centuries so Elenas children or grandchildren would not be cursed it would be ancestors of her many many many generations later

You know some people just have an affinity for the villain and some people have affinity for the "good guy" characters. I think it depends on the kind of person that you are that will determine the characters that you gravitate towards. There are characters from shows that are like, blasphemous to dislike. For example I'm not a fan of John Locke from Lost (rewatching Lost). Don't get me wrong I love Locke because I love the show, however in real life I'm agitated by passive/push overs or "weak people" so in turn I did not like the way Locke handled himself, making him a lesser character for me. No one come for me 🤣. I'm saying that to say the kind of person that I am determines the kind of characters that I like. Luckily I am normally able to see everyone's motivations whether it's the villain or the protagonist. I'm usually able to understand and see things from everyone's perspective which is why I can love Klaus as an audience member and also completely understand why any of his siblings would want him dead. For real, if I was Rebekah or any of his siblings I would have killed Klaus as soon as I woke up out that coffin...on the spot. I can love Damon but be annoyed by his controlling behavior. Honestly I couldn't imagine being in a relationship with someone like Damon. It seems really suffocating and emotionally draining just to keep it a 100%😬. I am also not one of those people that excuses what Damon did in season 1. What he did to Caroline is deplorable and unforgivable.... Also side bar. What you said about this show being about "rehabilitating broken men" CHILE YES!!!🙄Like I guess we're just not gonna talk about how Caroline was abused by Damon, and if this were real life, she would definitely need some kind of therapy or help. But I guess we're just not gonna bring that up🤨. Also what he did to Lexie, will never be forgiven😂but again, all that to say, I do like him as a character, I've always liked Damon, and I will always like Damon, but that's what I mean about being two sides of the same coin. I can be disgusted and hate a character and also understand the motivations and somehow still enjoy that character.🤷🏾‍♀️ SO all that to say🤣🤣🤣based on the reactions that I've seen and the characters that you gravitate towards, it makes sense to me that you don't like Damon or the Originals (HOWEVER I will NEVER not rep the Originals👀❤️ love them.) Oh real quick, I'm not mad at Rebekah for wanting Elena dead. She literally stabbed her in the back. I get that Elena felt she was doing what she had to, but that doesn't disqualify her from consequences. Elena gets what she gets🤷🏾‍♀️ Anyway glad you enjoyed the episode. And yes Kole is definitely off his rocker🤣. See ya next time 🤗

I get what you mean. I'll be bluntly honest, I don't think there are many characters (Including side-characters) on this show who I would like to know as a person. Maybe Liz and Jenna. However, take the vampire out of the character and they do change, which is how I gravitate towards the characters. I'm British and dry sarcasm is our sense of humour, which is probably why I like Damon. The most interesting and fascinating characters on this show are often the worst and most damaged characters, however, that gives them more depth than an angelic good guy. I wouldn't like that sort of person in real life though. It's not just men that need healing in this show, there's a few woman too. The message that comes across is 'Love is the greatest healer.' which is very true.

I enjoy this show but many of you seem to not understand that I have not seen the entire series so I am basing my opinions on what I am currently seeing. Yes, both brothers have done good and bad things. But for me it makes a difference knowing that when we met Stefan he had his humanity on and treated everyone with kindness and respect. When we met Damon he had his humanity either off or dimmed and he was killing people left and right. Yes he was “numb” but he was numb by choice. He was not compelled as far as I know. Yes he probably had his reasons, but I haven’t seen those reasons. Not good reasons. No I can’t just give him the benefit of the doubt because that’s not realistic to me. Everyone has an opinion about someone when they first meet them and I have mine about Damon. Many of you think that the fact that you think he’s attractive is either not a factor or “just the cherry on top” but I seriously disagree. If I was attracted to him I would excuse or “understand” a lot of what he does, but I’m not so I don’t. If Paul Giamatti was cast as Damon many of you would feel very differently. I think Stefan is more attractive, has a better personality, and was kind when we first met him so that makes it easier already for me to “understand” his motives but he was also compelled into turning off his humanity and Damon was not. Yes Stefan killed in the past but if I had to choose between a guy who used to kill and a guy who currently kills then the decision would be easy for me and Damon would have to earn my respect and trust. I don’t feel the need to give him the benefit of the doubt when he’s killing and hurting Elena’s friends and family. People also seem to forgive very quickly and easily. Yes, Stefan treated Elena badly recently and it was awful, but it’s not the same to me as Damon attacking Bonnie, abusing Caroline, killing Jeremy, killing Alaric, killing Lexi, killing the coach and so on. People seem to think that me not liking certain characters means that I’m judging the audience. We are all different and come from different backgrounds and have different lifestyles. When some of you tell me that I’m being judgmental or biased and that I should be more understanding, maybe take a second to think about what you just said. Maybe ask yourself if you could be more understanding about an actual person who is not a character on a tv show. Someone who was bullied by guys very similar to the Damons and the Klauses of the world and continues to be. Everyone has their reasons for everything that they do or say and these are mine. I used to be very attracted to and entertained by villainous characters. Now that I’m older I respond better to kind characters. That’s just me. I appreciate them because there seem to be so few of them in real life. The villains of the world are a dime a dozen to me. But yes this is a tv show and villains and anti heroes are entertaining, but this is a reaction channel and my immediate reaction and opinion comes out as soon as I see what’s on the screen. Nobody has to agree with anything that I say, but let’s not fool ourselves into thinking that everyone is not “biased” in some way. Everyone has biases. Everyone has characters that they like or dislike for whatever reason. That’s part of being a human with eyes. There may be characters that you hate that I like and vice versa. John comes to mind😂. Anyway, thanks for watching and expect me to continue to give my opinion even if it doesn’t agree with the majority.

Kyla B.

I haven't even watched the video yet. But I already know something brutal is coming. This is historically when things in the fandom got ugly. YES please continue giving YOUR opinion. I don't know about everyone else but I'm truly enjoying your takes on things. Especially because when I first watched the show I was heavily a Damon fan. It didn't hit me until much later in the series how blinded I was and that this guy is actually bad, and not in the "hot way." Your point about if Paul Giamatti was cast as Damon hits hard. Because I use similar arguments elsewhere. I usually go with Woody Harrelson to drive the point home that if certain characters weren't as easy to look at, you can very easily see how bad the character really is. But you know that Damon being good looking is purposely used to manipulate the audience.

Nathan

You know what’s so funny about the whole Damon being controlling narrative? None of us (for the most part) would allow the person we love to make half of decisions that Elena tried to make. There’s not a person in my life who I can see myself going “yeah, I’ll let you just die without trying because it’s your choice”.

Darius.

Once again, we agree on just about everything. lol - Thank you for your honest reactions.
