I'm glad you enjoyed it despite it not being the best episode, villain-wise at least! Onto season 2. 😃 Yep, it's a bumpy first season, but it's got a lot of good episodes!

At the end of the Season 3 finale, The Doctor & Martha dropped Jack back outside the Torchwood Hub, he revealed that he was the Face of Boe, and then he ran back to his team... he said the Torchwood team kept him fighting while imprisoned by the Master

I think this aired October 2006? And finished just before Series 3 started... so I don't think when they filmed this finale, they really knew for sure how Jack would tie in to DW Series 3. It makes it seem like the TARDIS materialized in the Hub in this episode, everything was blown about etc, but as we see in Utopia, it materialized above and out in the open
