Hi there! Yes, this show is very sad but I think it’s very well done. I think both the main actresses, mother and the daughter, do a fantastic job on this show. The daughter is played by Joey King and she’s been acting since she was a young child, so you may recognize her from something else you’ve seen. I loved your reaction towards the mother throughout this reaction. It was so funny. Also, I love Mel because she’s so blunt and was on to the shenanigans from the jump. Also, this takes place in Springfield Missouri. Gypsy does have her own room but, her mother usually makes her sleep in the bed with her. The mother also got all those checks from people who donated money to them to help the cause. They received so many checks from foundations, organizations, companies, and even celeebrities that wanted to help. Unless was already public information, she didn’t really share what she received to Gypsy or the rest of the world. So her insinuating to Gypsy that they didn’t have enough money for certain things was just another form of manipulation. In an interview, the real Gypsy Rose has said that she is happier in jail than she’s ever been in her life, which I think is so heart breaking and sad. Thanks for reacting to this!

OMG that is so sad but yeah she probably is better off in jail because she’s been so twisted by her mom that it’s better that she’s in there so she’s not a danger to herself or others.
