One of the things which makes me laugh is that Katherine almost flirts with Jeremy. Ugh! Imagine having someone who looks exactly like your sibling flirt with you (vomits at the thought of my brother). I don't like the idea of being dominated by a man, I actually see that Damon is the opposite, he's the one who'd be under the thumb. I agree about Elena, her decision is flawed. She's thinking short term and not looking at the knock on effect it would have if she was killed by Klaus, however, I do like that she has taken some agency. Problem is, it puts her at odds with all of her friends who can see what the problem would be. Jeremy is trying to save Bonnie and Elena in the only way he can, which is being protective. Bonnie has it hard, she is getting to the stage where she is in the same place as Stefan and Damon, having to protect people (from themselves). So Bonnie is in a different place to Elena man-wise. Elena wants agency, not protection, because she's constantly being protected. She wants someone to encourage her to be her own person. Bonnie needs someone to take the weight off occasionally, and look after her. Then you look at Caroline, and unlike S1 when she was always second best, now it's no longer the case. Gone has her low self-esteem, and she needs nobody because she's strong. In fact, she's got a very protective nature about her, so she needs someone to protect. This new self-confident Caroline is becoming more attractive. Great reaction, looking forward to the next one.

During this time, the way they write Stefan can be annoying. They have Him say stuff in order to push Elena and Damon, as if I don't know what they're doing... "Wow, if Stefan supports their relationship, than everyone else should too - right?". Yeah, whatever.
