Great reaction. Damon's love for Katherine is his weakness. Emily used it to manipulate him into saving her family. The plot starts properly in this episode. It isn't exploring the mythology of vampires, like the first few, it is all about the plot and moving the story forwards. It only gets better from here on. Looking forward to the next one.

I actually don’t blame Damon for attacking Bonnie because Emily made a deal with him and he protected the Bennett line for her to screw him over

I'm a fan of Damon without a doubt, he's one of my favorite characters but you have to be honest what he did was wrong, he knew that after Emily had done her work she would leave and he went avenge himself on Bonnie quite simply, he has no excuse. Me I appreciate Damon in those days when he is ruthless, it's the version of him that I prefer, of course not everyone does but the fact that I love his character does not make me blind to the fact that what he did was wrong, he had no rights or excuses.
