I have a theory about Rose actions during this episode. Initially she was so excited about Jack being on board because he paid so much attention to her. But I believe as they traveled that Jack began to pay more attention to the Doctor. You saw how involved he was with the Tardis, like working the engines. He really seemed to be taken by it, and with the Doctor, who seemed fine with it all. But this means now that all the attention is no longer on Rose. So she makes the excuse about needing a passport so she could see Mickey and have him fawn over her. But that also goes wrong as she finally realizes how poorly she treated him after the "You left me!" speech. Yes she could of handled it much better, but then again she's only 19. And she is turning out to be a good companion. She deserves to be on board.

That episode is really not a big favourite with most fans, but I just knew you'd enjoy it as you really love the relationships and dynamics, so I was really interested to see how you responded to the relationship stuff, particularly that between Rose and Mickey.
