Welcome to the Black Hold Dungeon, the lower level of the previously released Black Hold Prison, featuring several cell blocks, lower kitchens, interrogation chamber, barracks and a special Arcane Vault for creatures of power.

The Black Hold Dungeon should provides you with all kinds of great atmosphere for a variety of potential narratives. Multiple cell blocks, a non-linear layout and multiple ways back into the upper levels of the structure above grant players with a lot of decisions to make.

I've included a write up with my ideas for the various rooms, some portrait art for the cook character and basic room descriptions.

Some potential narratives might be:

1. Campaign Origin - one of the most common tropes for D&D campaigns is to have the PC's all be part of a prison break, and for that -- you need a prison.

2. Rescue Mission - one or more of the party may have been wrongfully accused and imprisoned, or perhaps an important contact or friend has found themselves in a hard spot, needing a little infiltration and extraction mission to get them out.

3. Escort Mission - the party may have been hired by the city as "extra muscle" to help with either delivering or extracting a powerful entity from the Arcane Vault, experiences that can prove complicated and deadly.
