When I think of a perfect day, this one comes to mind.

Though much colder than the photos make it seem, and windier than I like, all I remember is the peace, and joy in simplicity I felt.

I think a big part of me enjoys making a set and arranging props in a way that I’d like to live. No, I KNOW this to be true. When I was younger I just showed up with whatever clothing I had and shot with what was available. Now, I find so much joy in rearranging things and making them exactly how I’d like them if it were my own space, and I suppose it’s sort of make believe becoming reality. Much of my life mimics things I used to only dream of - like this clothesline. I’m finding myself drying clothes outside because I like the way it looks when they flow in the wind, and they feel softer when they dry in movement versus hanging still inside. ☺️ I’m even finding that I have more clothing and linens of this overall style. It’s cute and cozy, pretty and dainty. And you know me - always mixing lingerie into the mix! 😍

I’ve found this through other shoots as well, like the one I did with my first tarot cards.

Those are now a part of a little altar that is a permanent space in my closet room, and it’s styled much like that shoot I did.

They say life imitates art, so I better keep it up with creating the things I want in my life. 😉

Hope you enjoy this mix of JD’s and my photography. I really enjoyed shooting the vintage pieces I sourced on this trip on the clothesline. ❤️
