hello y'all and happy Fridaaay!

it's a sunny day here in Brooklyn, you can almost smell Spring. This week I saw the first cherry blossom of the season and I can't wait for the weather to get better and take my butt for a picnic at the park : .. )

in the meantime: here's this month's sketchbook touur!

a few notes

• you'll see in one of the pages I had a case of very annoying hiccups that didn't go away. I tried EVERYTHING; holding my breath, drinking water upside down, holding my breath again, but nothing. And then Lou shared her super secret technique with me (taught by her dad); hold your breath while holding A KEY (yes, two people have to hold the same key at the same time) for one minute, and it worked? please let me know if you also do this and other hiccup home remedies!

• I'm trying to modify or tweak some sketches as I'm doing them, like this one for example

and I really liked the result! I wanna see where this new way of drawing takes me : - )

• I'm almost done with this sketchbook! only one page left!

• when I went to the MET museum there was a collection of sketches that caught my attention, and the artist used this kraft-like paper for their sketchbook:

it was so freaking cool the way they used white (an other shades) to make the figures pop from the kraft-like paper/background and I'd LOVE to try it too! so next time I'm at the art supply store I'm adding a kraft-paper sketchbook to my list!

I hope you enjoyed this month's tooour! Please find all references I used in the gallery AND all the pages as a downloadable .zip file down bellow. All these images are for personal use only; do not copy, re-trace, sell, post or share without my consent.

Have a lovely Friday and weekend aheaaaad! Can't wait to read your hiccup home remedies haha : - )
