Watching Pedro’s contempt for Chantel honestly breaks my heart. It seems like she really loves him and she’s trying her best. To me Pedro has a difficult time processing hard feelings and perhaps is throwing all his junk on Chantel when it isn’t all on her to fix. There’s zero compassion or patience on his part.

It feels like Pedro is probably already being inappropriate with another woman on some level. So to justify it to himself he has to find all kinds of faults with Chantel. Cheaters often become resentful of their spouse because they are projecting the resentment they feel for themselves.

Some fodder for Mary: Sissy Detective’s next WATN - last season, in the Everett’s living room (I think the scene when Thomas is wearing a bathrobe and fedorra), there’s a framed certificate congratulating Thomas on “29 years of service”. I didn’t have the wherewithal to pause and try to figure out WHERE he worked for 29 years but maybe it was an airline!!!

I worked in a bariatric surgery clinic for over 6 years and the process is VERY involved . People think it’s an easy button and it is far from it. It is just as much mental as it is physical . Our “competitors” in the area would have a “fast track” to eliminate important steps to get them to surgery faster . Like an assembly line and it was gross. We were seeing people from those competitors who knew little to nothing about nutrition after and various other issues. We had psychologists on staff that we used to make sure patients were prepared for the transition and would delay their process for a few months if there were things that needed to be worked on. We emphasized the importance of recognizing transfer addiction and how to navigate that. Seeing people transform and be so much happier with themselves was so rewarding to watch. But then , we started to get more like our competitors and that’s when I left lol
