20$tier possible structure (please read ) (Patreon)

as mentioned before , I'm looking into restructuring the post system for the 20$tier with the main reason being reducing piracy potential. One of the system in question being Sakimichan's . How it basically works in my head right now : 


Patreon will now only host preview images with no files attached . The main file site now will be Gumroad. At the end of each month, all of those in the Tier AT THAT POINT IN TIME will receive a redeem code for the purchase post that contains all the files of the works THAT IS IN THAT MONTH only. This code and the post will be available until the next batch is release, after it will be replaced by individual purchase posts of each of the painting 

Bascially , very much similar to Sakimchan's term system  

And addition I can add to this is a rotating redeem code for the individual posts that will accompanied with the tier , so in theory if you're still in the 20$tier, and you missed the monthly post, you can still get the files you wanted via the individual posts with no extra cost. 


Please tell me what you guys think. !! and pleas feel free to suggest anything else !.

Could work, say i drop my patreon (fat chance, love your work) and pick it up a few months down the track will i still have access to the files from when my pledge ends to when I pick it back up (example: drop it between October and pick it up in January)

I wish you good luck with this idea. I've noticed many artists no longer having items on Patreon itself due to leaks, so they use Gumroad or other sites for downloads.

Wait I'm confused. So you are not going to post your work here anymore and instead you'll give us discount codes so we have buy your art on gumroad?

basically yes, only previews will be post on here, the actual files will be on gumroad, and the discount code is a 100%discount , so basically like a password to access those files

I don't mean to come off as entitled but, this seems like a pretty bad idea. I think you're gonna loose alot of money in the long run. It makes it to hard for the average person to conveniantly access your work. Also (this is just me) I don't feel comfortable trusting my personal information with a website I'm not familiar with. I also can't figure out were to punch in the discount code.

hey no worries , thats certainly one of the aspect i had to considered while working this out, balancing between security and access. Gumroad is quite an established site that is used not just by me but other big name artists as well, example being Sakimichan. You can certainly do a check on it if you want to. As for the code. it pops up in the check out box , and if you put in the 100 %discount code, you wont have to put in your card detail, cause it would be a free charge

oh , its all good on my end ? Do you have multiple items in your cart . If so , try it with just one, as the code is essentially 10$ of total purchases

Gotcha. By the way will the discount codes have a time limit? Because if you do this then they should have a time limit that can work for everyone's own timezones. Like the discount code will only work for a week on just the one masterpiece. Also will you give us a link to the gumroad in the preview?

If a lot of people are exploiting your current system, I support these changes 100%. Because changes must happen if the circumstances change. But it is sad, that a new patreon isn't up to date with your NSFW artwork anymore. That's why I dislike sakimis system and like your current system. It should be possible to get ALL artwork without bankrupting yourself. You could do something like: Be a 20$ patreon for a year and receive all nfsw artwork. That reduces piracy, who would wait a year to pirate, and makes your NSFW artwork more accessible. This also would reward loyal subscribers.

oh no, thats where the addition of the rotating monthly redeem code for each individual post will come in . After the next term is posted , individual images of the previous term will be put up on Gumroad. So basically at the end of the month, you will get 2 redeem codes, one for the new term, one for the previous posts . So in theory , if you're still in the 20$tier then, you will still be able to get everything in the past !!. Hopefully that isnt too confusing XD, I'll put out a test soon , which should help

The leaks itself probably wont stop , but im more concerned about a website that use a bot to grab all the files on here down
