I won't lie. There was a point I almost got emotional during the creation of this piece, but then I put on some club music and it cheered me up lol.

I felt this was an important piece to show and convey since I've never actually shown the "in between" moments of Abram's death. I wanted to capture a specific composition and color palette, telling a story through a single visual alone. Not to toot my own horn, but I felt pretty good with how it turned out considering I didn't use hardly any reference (I did trace the top umbrella part though for accuracy).

I sometimes feel like a monster with how I write my characters and what I do to them haha. (not really funny), but damnit... it makes good storytelling. The years ahead will be tough for this family. You can give them hugs if you want. :3
