How do early access tickets for Patreon members work?

Whenever possible, we give Patreon supporters at the Blood Kin ($15) tier and above an extra day or two to purchase tickets to our live shows before they go on sale for the general public.

We announce live shows a day or two before presale, and typically several days before tickets are made available to the public.

On the day the presale starts, we will post a ticketing link and the presale code you need to enter on the ticketing website to purchase tickets here on Patreon. Typically we schedule this for the same time the presale starts, so you know when to check your email / Patreon feed.

Where can I purchase tickets to a live show?

Visit the Tour page on our website. We strongly encourage you NOT to simply Google our tour. Fans have reported paying exorbitant prices to ticket resellers (which can be very good at making their websites appear to be official) for past live shows because they didn't come to our website and follow the official ticketing links. We cannot be held responsible for folks who get hoodwinked by resellers or scammers.

Approximately how long is the live show?

We shoot for around 2 hours.

Do I need to be caught up all the regular season episodes to enjoy the live show?

No. The live shows always feature a standalone story, because we  recognize that not everyone listens at the same pace, and some folks may  bring friends who are unfamiliar with the series. While your experience will be enhanced by familiarity with recurring characters or lore, it's  not necessary to understand and enjoy the stories we present on stage.

Are you recording the live shows to release on Patreon?

No, we are not recording live shows. We may, however, release studio recordings of the main story for each tour sometime in the future. These may be released on Bandcamp or here on Patreon.

Will the live shows be streamed?

No, we will not be streaming the live shows, and yes, we have considered it and looked into it. A lot of it boils down to money, like most things.

Venues, by and large, do not make their money on ticket sales. Most of that goes to the artist. Venues make money on concessions, bar sales, and other items that require butts in seats, so anything that could potentially lower the number of in-person tickets sold is not something they're going to support. We're not Taylor Swift selling out arenas, family. We're a very small production and every ticket counts.

In-house ticket sales are vital to us too. Most folks aren't going to be willing to pay what the same cost of an in-house ticket for a stream, and those ticket sales are how we cover our expenses. We have to pay, feed, house, and transport our entire cast, merch, etc. to every date. A lot of folks assume the venues cover that, but they absolutely do not.

From a technical and logistical perspective, trying to stream the live show also adds exponential complications and a number of additional costs to a venture that is already complex and very, very expensive. It's just not something we can do, family. We appreciate your understanding.

What cast members will be featured in the live show?

Our cast rotates because not everyone is available for every date. We will announce which cast members will join us for which dates on our socials, so if you haven't already, complete your social media ritual today to be notified.

Will merch be available at the show?

Yes. Our merch booth features tour exclusive items not available anywhere else. We accept both cash and cards.

What is included if I purchase a VIP ticket?

VIP includes a brief meet and greet with Steve and Cam before the show and a tour exclusive merch bundle. The merch bundle includes a signed poster, and some combination of a tote, stickers, buttons, pins, or other small items, depending on availability.

Is my Patreon subscription being used to pay for the live shows?

No. Our budget for cast, transportation, etc. for our live shows is based on what we expect to make from ticket sales. If we fall short, then we cover the shortage with merch sales. So if you are unable to make it to a live show and feel cheated in some way, rest assured that we did take that into account when we began planning to tour. You didn't pay for an event you couldn't attend.

Why aren't you coming to my state / city?

The short answer is, of course, that we can't go everywhere. The longer version is that booking and routing a tour is much more complicated than  most folks realize. Our booking agent has to consider venue size, which  venues of the right size for our show are available in the range of dates we will be in a given region, which order we can book those dates  so that we have time to travel between cities without exhausting  ourselves before the show, and numerous other factors when booking our  tour dates. If you're seeing two dates in your part of the country and  wondering why your city isn't included when it's nearby, the likeliest  answer is we were unable to secure a date at a venue in your town that made sense for this year's tour.

We also are not independently wealthy, nor are we 20-year-olds who can hop in a van, hit the road, and roam the country putting on shows and sleeping on our friends' floors. Steve and Cam have families and pets, and our cast members have families and pets and day jobs they have to navigate. All of us need rest and downtime, and for our own well-being, we are not touring for more than a couple weeks at a time without a break, nor can we tour year-round. We love seeing everyone’s enthusiasm, and we hope to see you in the future  if we haven’t made it to your area just yet.

Can I transfer my ticket to another venue?

Probably not, because the venues operate independently of one another.  Ticketing polices are entirely up to the individual venues. Please reach out to them with any questions about tickets.
