Along with gathering much needed materials for my approaching new job position, I've also been in touch with an upcoming t-shirt art shop who has been interested in some of my work. This has meant a bit more computer digging and file changes to provide a more reasonable base file of the art . So hopefully there will be more on that in time! If it is doable, you bet your beautiful butt I'm hosting a raffle here for free shirts.
I've also been going over some wondering concerning over Hissed Connections, and if I should seek out creating a limited physical print edition. The feedback and response has been varied, and I'm hoping to hear your own thoughts on such at this time. Mind you, I would be seeking the cheapest, and respectable price range/quality to ensure accessibility for such an event.

Some people really feel like the ideas and imagery inside themselves isn't worthy of being shown. They take these fractions of their heart and soul, and set it on a weight with decision, and they will question over and over.
'What if I'm wasting my time?'
'What if someone laughs at me or hates it?'
'What if it's not perfect?'
'What if this is a mistake?'
'What if I just don't take a chance?'
They look back and forth on this weighing, as if their very expression needs enough tokens to be considered real. As if whatever inside themselves is either not worthy, or not necessary enough to be given a chance. Don't be fooled here. I need you to give yourself a chance.
All of this around you..it's not a contest. It's not a smooth plain of symmetry and expected construct where only the idea of perfection thrives. It's organic,it's messy, it's alive, it's human, it's expressive..it's you.
I want you to try removing some of that weight off the scale now and again. I know some people would disagree with that. That we must have a fear in ourselves, or that to be better we must be uncomfortable and unhappy with what we do to push forward. I say.....no...
I say a lot of us didn't have this weight when we were younger. When we were just kids, and all we wanted to do was create colors and shapes on slips of white voids. We're creative...and we need little excuse to be. I hope you remember that now and again, because when you begin to move that weight..you might be left with the question " What can I lose? " indeed..what can you..?
