Some people don't want to believe in it, that magic....that thing in ourselves that defies the worst of what we've come to expect. 

There's a hole in some of our chests, and it can't be filled with the bitterness we might fool ourselves to believe. There's smoke in some of ours ears, but I need you to hear a little more today than you might any other. I need you to hear this.

I lived on hate for awhile. I spent the days comparing, treating others as if we were at a competition that would never end. I hated a lot of folks, but most of all I hated myself. 

And that hate buried me so far down until one day I realized I didn't even know who I was anymore. The words would come and keep on coming but it was just like smoke, it was. 

That hate will bury you...it'll give you half truths, and bad dreams. But...deep down beneath every terrible thing you've come to expect from yourself...I know it, I just know it, there's something hopeful, something quiet. Something that wants to be more than hopeless and miserable but happy and free again..

I know it's you, because despite every hard day, despite every way others have tried to drag us down...you're stronger than this. You're more than this. You're more than mundanity..you're magic. 

And if you can't believe in that today, if the words are just smoke in your ears...come back here again some day. Thing is..I'm always waiting for you. You are worth the wait.
