Mesozoic Menagerie - Ref Wips (Patreon)

Meet the cast of the Mesozoic Menagerie! :}

The Mesozoic Menagerie centers around Quinn, Patience, Bellamy, and Aubrey! It's a big world out there, but they've all come together, formed friendships, and become a family!

This is a personal project I've been tinkering with on and off for a while now. Finally, the pieces have started to fall in to place, and it's getting serious! I'm still working out all of the characters traits, house dynamics, etc. so I don't want to get into too many details at the moment. However, I feel I'm at the point where I can at least start to show off the cast and the progress I'm making!

I started with the above group picture, to work out the sizes, shapes, colors and patterns they'd all have (I wasn't concerned about genitals just yet)! You may recognize Aubrey, as I've drawn him a few times now. He was the genesis of the whole endeavor!

Now I'm in the process of doing ref sheets, starting with Patience and Quinn! I really enjoyed doing their facial expressions, I feel like their personalities really came through. I'm not sure whether I'm going to sketch out the ref sheets for Aubrey and Bellamy next, or if I'll sit down and polish one of these two off. Just depends on whether I feel sketchy or inky! :}
