Sarah was a photographer who specialised in shooting circus performers. She travelled from the US with a friend to do a circus skills workshop in Melbourne. As it turned out her friend and another friend they met on the course were part time strippers, and she followed them along to a shoot set up by my friend Sam.
She surprised us with her willingness to be photographed nude - which we found out when she looked at a table and said, "I really like this skirt, but I don't have a matching top. Maybe I just won't wear one."
I liked this “Barbie is a slut” T-shirt (and the revealing rips), so took her to the alley behind the studio and shot there.
This was her first nude shoot. At the end of it she rang her mother in the States and said, "Mom, I just did a nude shoot." Her mother replied, "About time!"
Technical: Nikon D700 with NIKKOR 70-200mm f/2.8G VR II lens. Natural light.
