From a couple of years back, I spent an afternoon shooting Sylph, starting in the flat she was staying in and moving on to some bush land.

I noticed the balcony on the flat had this privacy screen made of slatted wood, and the Sun was at the right angle to produce this light with lined shadows, so we did a set with that light. It was very bright out there, which is why Slyph has her eyes shut in these - although eyes shut shots also seem to be part of her vibe.

Technical: shot with a Nikon D700 and NIKKOR 50mm f/1.8G lens. By the way, the 50mm (or "nifty fifty" as it is often called) is a fantastic and often very useful portrait lens. If you shoot, your camera maker almost certainly makes one and you should buy it.
